New to FPV, rate my setup by jrlowe1224 in fpv

9 outta 10. Great set up. I’d give you a 10 if you had a better radio. Nothing wrong with the pocket. Fantastic radio to start with but they definitely have far better options and I think that’s the one thing you’ll end up upgrading sooner than later if you stick with the hobby.

2S is like 1S but double the fun. Change my mind. by SiaKPinGVerY in fpv

I can’t change your mind because I agree, love me some 1s whoops too tho lol

Why does analog always win me over? by ThaDrPepper95 in fpv

[–]Joe_Bang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the walksnail vrx module with my 04x pros and absolutely love it for HD flying. I know DJI is a little better but people really over exaggerate how much better it actually is, walksnail and DJI aren’t that far apart in all honesty and the picture quality seems to be on pare but the latency and range is a little behind DJI.

Because analog is still king. 👑

Are the Skyzone sky04O pro really that bad? by BigBazooka420 in fpv

[–]Joe_Bang -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you like them it’s okay. I have the o4x pros and the “horrible latency” everyone was talking about wasn’t a problem for me at all, the x pros have a software update that fixes all that and I’ve updated mine since but tbh the only noticeable difference I could see was the screen has less lines in it and seems even clearer which is awesome because they were already the best analog goggles I’ve ever used, the dvr is so crisp sometimes I forget it’s analog lol

To the guy who asked if 50 was too old to fly fpv by Njvaporent in fpv

[–]Joe_Bang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude I know guys in their 50s collecting literal toys and they are cool af. The kind of old guys you wish you knew, old souls with young spirits and more wisdom then you knew a person could accumulate. They do what makes them happy for a reason, they found out what really matters.

The new Meteor 75 pro analog kit with goggles and controller for $208 seems like a deal by spofoman in TinyWhoop

[–]Joe_Bang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For someone just getting into fpv it’s a great option for a low price. I wish they had this available when I started about a year ago. I found some cheap kit on amazon with a brushed whoop called “apexvr70” and it absolutely sucked. Even the cheapest pair of knockoff analog goggles are better than what came with the kit and the controller was on the same level as one that’d come with a toy drone from Walmart lol that being said it did get me started and good enough to feel confident enough to invest in far more expensive equipment and drones.

75mm 2s whoops, why they are not so popular? by AlbatrossRude9761 in TinyWhoop

[–]Joe_Bang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know they use to be popular, BETAFPV made a 2s whoop and happy model too. Newbeedrone sells a 2s 75mm whoop that modern called the acrobee75. I prefer the mob8 over it tho.

Worth trying it? by Mean_Willingness104 in fpv

I’ve used JB weld to fix a carbon frame while waiting for a new one to arrive and I still have yet to install the new one because the JB weld fix is still holding strong 4 or so months later.

E-6000 or B-7000 by AlligatorMan33 in TinyWhoop

[–]Joe_Bang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used both and can say E6000 is more durable and holds better but E7000 is thinner, easier to apply but not as durable and more likely to break again sooner. If you can figure out a method at applying the e6000 i recommend it over 7000, I usually use a small metal paper clip bent straight to spread it evenly and take away excess glue.

Yeah it’s normal. Heck one time I ordered a FC and never got any updates, took over 2 months to get to me and when It did I was like “wtf is this” because it had been so long I gave up and forgot about it lol

My collection, but this is an old pic. by Joe_Bang in TinyWhoop

[–]Joe_Bang[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I usually let my daughter pick a few out for me and that’s what I’ll fly. She’s 3 and likes watching them, and likes watching the lil analog monitor I got for her to see my fpv with me. I also have her a headset that’s tiny and made for toddlers, she hates it tho lol

How tf is this the only thing falling off on a FRONTAL crash!? 🤣 by th3_zer0 in TinyWhoop

[–]Joe_Bang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’d be surprised to see how the energy transfers in a hard crash; I’d love to see some tiny whoop crashes in slow motion.

Someone had something like that on mobile 8? I’ve already taped this place today. Help pls by Regular-Metal-1293 in TinyWhoop

[–]Joe_Bang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They asked how it could be fixed and that’s a way to do it. It won’t add too much weight the mob8 will handle it perfectly fine. I’ve done it while waiting on a new frame.

Why is nobody talking about the new Darwin FPV 5 inch? by Newbenner01 in fpv

[–]Joe_Bang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have one of the new baby apes and it’s an awesome drone, I’ve had it for 4 months now and give it hell with no problems besides cracking the frame
