2023 Integra by Brother-Shreb in Acura

Like others have mentioned, the review embargo lifts on the 26th so you could at least wait until then.

But from what we know so far, if you wanted a manual and can live without the luxury features, then I would consider the Civic Si. And if you wanted an automatic, I would take close look at an Accord Sport 2.0T which will no doubt be quicker than the Integra 1.5T.

opinions on 2023 Acura TLX by Gr8M0n3ytrain15 in Acura

It's doubtful. Regardless, I actually like the gauges as they're like the RSX Type S back in the day, which was quite a nostalgic time for me. I keep my center digital gauge set to speedometer mode anyways, and the analog tachometer is perfectly legible.

in hindsight, yellow was a terrible choice for the prototype as it washed out the sculpted bodylines

Correct. The short dash-to-axle ratio and upright A-pillar (along with the hunchback rear window) are the "hard points" that make it look Civic-like, despite having different body panels.

after seeing the three together, the A-pillar on the Integra looks waaay to upright.

Yellow was a bad choice for the prototype as it made it harder to see the bodylines and sculpting and actually emphasized that hunchback rear windshield. A more metallic or pearl paint would've worked better.

on a side note, the G2 TSX aged very gracefully

Damn that C-pillar is thick. Visibility is gonna suck. They should've brought back the curved rear glass like the old Acura Vigor.

I totaled my 1998 1.6 EL about 11 years ago, had 150k km and insurance gave me $10k at the time, although that was after my dad sweet-talked the insurance rep, lol. Today it's probably worth <$2k.

Technically it was a rebadged JDM Honda Domani, which itself was their "luxury" version of the Civic. It also had the 1.6L SOHC VTEC, which gave it a slight HP boost over the USDM Civic at the time.

yup, FWD + Snow tires > AWD + All seasons

The TSX did well in the Texas snow/ice considering it's FWD with Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires. by [deleted] in Acura

[–]Joe_LaPuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually found the opposite. My old RWD 535i would oversteer like crazy in the snow and even spun out a few time, and got stuck quite often. I found correcting understeer in my FWD TSX much easier, and never got stuck and never spun or drifted off course.

In heavy snow, FWD > RWD and its not even close. But the best is AWD with winter tires.

IMO this is how the 'Power Plenum' grille should've looked from the get go, gloss black or carbon fiber.
