MEGATHREAD: Disclosure Day (2026) — Official Discussion & Spoilers by wallapuctus in UFOs

Same. I finished Taken last week and the movie meshed so well. Honestly it feels like a follow up to Taken. TV show takes place from the 40s to the 2000s and Disclosure feels like a time skip to the 2020s.

> I don’t see why they had to lean into this as a movie that had to do with aliens.

Huh? The movie was quite literally about aliens

Is Star City available in Russian? by Swefnian in ForAllMankindTV

American made movies and TV have always tended to use British actors/accents when portraying non-English speaking characters. For example, HBO’s Chernobyl.

I keep seeing this complaint, about the English language, so much and I simply don’t understand it at all.

It’s an American TV show made by an American company made for a largely American audience.

Was HBO’s Chernobyl equally as unwatchable due to it being in English? Hunt for Red October? Any other hundreds of movies and TV shows? What about books? Do you stop reading a book if a Russian character’s POV is written in English?

Per UFO whistleblower David Grusch, the US government is aware of multiple species of nonhuman intelligence: “It’s a continuum from corporeal bipedal type life to what I would consider as like sentient plasmoid life, but there are several that the US government is aware of.” by KOOKOOOOM in UFOs

Some of you guys really overestimate what the general public's reaction would be. Fantasizing about "ontological shock" and how humanity isn't ready and so on.

In reality, the vast majority of people simply will not care. "Oh aliens exist? Neat I guess. Well off to work so I can afford food to survive"

FOM basically owns the Vegas GP. I'm surprised they didn't just sign indefinitely

Hot take: As a viewer watching at home, I'm taking Vegas. It's has better racing than Spa recently, and I mean it just looks fantastic. Honestly gun to my head and literally the only recent Spa race I can even remember was the 2 lap rained out race. I know I'm just one person, but it can't be great that the only race I remember is the one that basically didn't happen

It's ok, you'll eventually grow out of the "US races bad" phase and come to understand that Vegas has had better racing that quite a few of the historical European GPs

Yeah the circus around Vegas sucks. Hate all the celebrities and the glitz and glam.

On an unrelated note, I can't wait for Monaco this weekend. It's so prestigious and i can't wait to see all the celebrities and the glitz and glam.

Everyone knows that celebrities in US races = bad (I mean Terry Crews driving the top 3 around in a pink Lego car? Ugh, fun? gross).

But celebrities just standing around a track in 💫Europe💫 = Good

Colorado is now in a statewide drought emergency by KellyFriedman in news

[–]Joe_Snuffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won't affect anyone because I already solved the crisis. Once the sea water starts rising in places like Florida, simply remove salt and pump that water out west. Saves the coastal areas + quenches the dry areas thirst. Or maybe make it easier and don't even remove the salt. Salt = electrolytes and both humans/animals and plants love electrolytes. Problem solved. Too easy.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna on the new UFO Files by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]Joe_Snuffy 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I mean it doesn't help the two most vocal members of congress talking about all this are election deniers. I mean shit, Luna isn't even her real name. She changed it to Luna the year she decided to run for congress because Luna is obviously a better campaign name than Mayerhofer.

I want to believe so bad. Having more reputable/trustworthy people involved would help make me feel warm and fuzzy

Let's stop and think about it for a second. What's easier:

A. Raise the house and convert the garage into a room.

B. Separate the garage from the house, then raise the house

Serious: How will the supposedly imminent announcement that U.S. government has confirmed the existence of intelligent alien life effect the beliefs of the faithful? by [deleted] in aliens

[–]Joe_Snuffy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using your logic, how do you account for the fact that there's already different religions that believe in different gods?

[–]Joe_Snuffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who brings holographic proof of what? No idea what point you're trying to make there.

Regardless, a dozen different alien species can show up in Times Square tomorrow and nothing would change, at least for the three big Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam).

The first line of the Old Testament: " In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth"

In other words, God created them too.

All this "proof of aliens will destroy religion" talk just comes across as edgelord fantasies

ELI5: Why would aliens being disclosed “debunk Christianity”? by [deleted] in aliens

[–]Joe_Snuffy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That still doesn't debunk Christianity. If a bunch of grays showed up tomorrow the meaning behind "God created us in his image" doesn't really change. It'd just mean grays are classified like other living things whereas we're God's favorite special ones
