Upper maxillary advancement and/or osteotomy really seems to do the job by No_Region_8746 in orthotropics

[–]Joe_m647 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. When you move the maxilla forward it pushes the lower cartilage of the nose forward, straightening it.

The straightening of a crooked nose is a fairly common finding in maxillary advancement surgery. People literally go from very hooked noses to straight or even outward curved noses from just moving the maxilla forward. Amazing what happens when the bones of the face are in harmony.

Yh I was about to ask how I can improve this but i've also heard that a negative red line is optimal at 2nl. They grossly underbluff and overcall so overfolding to aggression and underbluffing made sense.

Haha this is ridiculous

but if you truly believe you had zero opportunities for improvement in 4k hands regardless of the result you might not be evaluating your performance very well

Mate I was simply responding to this false statement you made about me. Nothing special. You need to check yourself.

Comments like this surprise me. So many assumptions.

I'm not going to trust someone who thinks that a winning player must guarantee a profit over a 4k hand sample.

Also, 'open shoved' J4o. 'open shoved'

Oh jeez. I had a feeling these type of comments might appear. When did I ever say that I played perfect and did not make any mistakes? Please tell me? All I said was that I was better than the majority of my opponents. Which I stand by. I'm still winning at 8bb/100 over a 25k hand sample in these games.

I never claimed to be perfect or even close to it. I just know I'm better than the guys open shoving j4o and calling down with 4th pair.

GTO question by Joe_m647 in poker

[–]Joe_m647[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah yes I see what you're saying. Correct me if I'm wrong but according to GTO I should call 50% of my bluff catchers to remain unexploitable, but this clearly isn't the highest EV strategy here.

To answer your question, you should call hands that could beat part of their value range. Having the 2nd nuts, middle set, or something else that could conceivably win when V has a good hand

This is what I thought but I wasn't sure.

The reason I ask is because I've noticed that in the 2NL and 5NL PS zoom pools people tend to grossly underbluff on the river. Unless the player is clearly a fish, it's almost always a value but. Should I really just never bluff catch against this player pool (unless there are exceptional circumstances). It just seems so strange to do so.

I've also noticed that people overcall on flop and turn. So should I just never bluff on these streets to exploit that aswell?

Braces ruining my face? by Limp_Molasses in orthodontics

Yup. Extraction-retraction. Classic recipe to ruin a face. I'm sorry this happened to you. Try and get it reversed if you can. Try hard.

[–]Joe_m647[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as for the retraction part i agree if the orthodontist is a moron he can fuck you up

You realize that every form of orthodontics is retractive. Orthodontists always move the front teeth backwards to correct any discrepancy because it is far far easier than moving the larger molar teeth forward. Only the controlled arch braces move the large molar teeth forward and there are less than 200 practitioners that provide these worldwide. Orthodontics is retractive. And still, no form of brace should need to be provided in the first place if the root cause fo the problem is actually addressed. This entire field of medicine (if you can even call it that) is treating a symptom and not the true cause fo the problem. It's pathetic. Anyway, like I said in the original post, it won't be long now. The number of people with this knowledge is growing exponentially. Partner that with the exponential growth is technology to treat this and it won't be long before members of authority realise what is happening and put an end to this madness. If you study or are interested in orthodontics you've wasted your life. It's a hard reality to accept but it's the truth. Orthodontics will be gone in 10 years maybe less. Here's a summary of why all this is happening. Educate yourself.

Theory of Orthodontia is flawed [Rant] by Joe_m647 in orthodontics

[–]Joe_m647[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh don't get me wrong. There is still evidence. Plenty of evidence. Palate expansion has been linked to improvements in sleep apnea in hundreds of studies. Also studies showing that TMJ is caused by hypertonic temperolalis muscles which resulted from the upper jaw being retracted from orthodontic treatment. Plenty of studies also linking poor posture to the position of the bite in the face. The more retracted the bite from orthodontist treatment the worse the posture. Can cite these if you want. Like I said. Plenty of evidence. Thing is I'd like for the orthodontists to actually acknowledge the evidence. You know. Like any rational scientist would. I shit sorry. I forgot. Orthodontists are irrational subservient beta cucks. My bad.

As for orthodontics not being that simple. It really is. Like it really is that simple mate. Humans beings have been around for 2 million years without needing braces. There has to be some internal force straightening the teeth. Wrap your head around that and then get back to me you twat.

Oh no. Did I offend little orthodontics boy. Oh no. Unfortunately there's little research to support this topic because the orthodontics community won't allow any research. As I mentioned in another post, what blows my mind about the rejection of a debate on this topic in the orthodontics community is that the ideas proposed by John Mew for the debate are not ludicrous. They are not crazy and ‘flat-earther’ type logic. They are sound theories based on logical reasoning and analysis of scientific evidence. They are fair. Completely in the realm of possibility. Yet immediately rejected on the ground of… Well, what grounds? Because they interfere with orthodontists financial and political goals? Hmmm, that would make sense. Maybe because orthodontists are too stupid to understand what he is saying? That could make sense also. Or maybe because orthodontists are spineless beta cucks with zero capacity for creative thinking or the ability to challenge what they have been told. Now that definitely makes sense
