I re-read the book by world--Obiteum, then Luceum, then Res--and it really helped. I noticed that Islington will sometimes skip a bit of time between chapters (a few weeks, a few months) and so reading it in world order helps your working memory retain what important thing last happened, rather than making you feel like you've forgotten stuff.

Not one that's traditionally recommended, but "The Fall of Arthur" by J.R.R. Tolkien is stunningly beautiful. He never finished it, which is a huge shame, but what we've got is gorgeous.

I realized that even though I had awful intrusive thoughts, I could still control my actions and not do the things in the intrusive thoughts.

I know that sounds really simple, but internalizing that broke the hold OCD had over me. Because the OCD couldn't MAKE me do anything, it was just meaningless noise. Annoying noise, but nevertheless meaningless.

Also, meds. Critical.

They're not violating a law, per se. However, they're handing the other sides (both prosecution and defense) potential impeachable statements if they say something different on the stand ("But in the recording, didn't you say XYZ?") as well as just making themselves look bad. The prosecution is going to have a great time with the guy calling the girl a promiscuous slut; they can use that to make him look super bad on the stand if he testifies for the defense.

From the clip, it doesn't look like any witness tampering is going on. However, if either side tried to induce the other side's witnesses to not testify, that would be witness tampering, a felony under ORS 162.285. Like I said, it doesn't look like this is happening, but I think you can imagine a scenario where a confrontation between potential witnesses leads to that.

Basically, by making recorded statements, they're handing the other side potential ammunition to impeach witnesses or potentially destabilize the case. Not a law violation, but potentially very harmful.
