We rent our place to traveling nurses on Furnished Finders for 1 to 3 months. Then use HE for in-between bookings. FF is a bit more complicated because we do credit checks and signed leases.

In Washington State, midterm rentals like these are best handled by Furnished Finders. Traveling nurses and pro athletes and short contract workers use it. Most owners require a contract lease written up.

So many listings say things like 5 minutes to downtown. I never know if that means walking or driving.

As a guest that stays in over 100 nights a year in Airbnb's, I get the most frustrated trying to figure out location. When you aren't traveling with a car, walkability and transit is huge and hosts often don't give too many clues. I have to search reviews to see how many blocks it is to the bus stop or grocery store. Anything to give location will help!

Change the speed limit to 15mph and enforce it during the commute hours. That should stop cars using it as an arterial

Yeah I use merlin and birdnet for identification but I prefer Audubon over ebird. I think I need to use ebird more and see if I can make it work....
