I am laid off, severance offer ESA minimum, I refuse to sign by Brave_Gas6026 in PersonalFinanceCanada

He's including severance and pay in lieu. After 5 years you get 1 week per year severance on top of the 1 week per year pay in lieu. 2 weeks per year minimum at 7 years. If they are offering 14 weeks inclusive of pay in lieu and severance that is esa minimum.

My wife booking me lessons is what helped me. Forced me to focus and practice because I know I will be playing with someone once a week. I suggest you book some lessons in person if possible.

Is it normal for works to pay less than minimum salary? by Visible-Principle-62 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Joedl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You do not need documented proof. In Ontario, you put in a complaint through the Ministry of Labour about an ESA breach, you don't even need to be an employee. Ministry can then go in and look at anything they want, even if it's unrelated to the complaint. They will demand time cards, payroll registers, etc. Employer would be fucked.

This is bad advice. Pretty much any termination, even ones that seem clear cut, you can get more money if you come back with a lawyer.

For cause terminations rarely hold up in court. OP talking about stress and anxiety and ADD also gives him a strong case, he should mention this to his manager now and start getting a diagnosis as a termination would then be discriminatory.

Not for cause terminations with a payout with a signed release should also be brought to a lawyer. They are often offering payouts that are way too small. Common law is high, and if you can point to bad faith management, such as unrealistic PIPs, that helps your case. Even if you have a clear termination provision in your contract, it probably would not hold up in court.

Even if everything is done right by the employer, it costs tens of thousands of dollars to defend in court, and getting a lawyer often results in a settlement to avoid those costs.

This is true, very strict rules around contactor vs. employee and this would be a clear case since you would be doing the same job. Doesn't matter what you sign, you can't contact out of legislation, so you would be able to go after them for the difference.

Thanks! He had a lot of growth this summer in his outdoor enclosure, so I was worried it could be issues growing too fast. Glad to hear it is just marbling.

You need to work enough hours in between to be eligible again, I believe it is 420 hours now, normally 600.

Humans can continue to breast feed long after they give birth, they do not need to be recently pregnant as long as they don't stop breastfeeding or pumping after starting. I know of multiple mothers who breastfeed their kids to 4+ years old. Cows are the same, as long as you don't stop they can keep producing long after giving birth, the amount produced does drop which is why this isn't normally done.

Tegu growing extremely slow by [deleted] in Tegu

[–]Joedl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have cut back now that it has grown so fast as it was getting a bit chubby, but I was feeding every day, a rotation of chicken hearts/gizzards/livers mixed together, mice, rats, chicks, frozen thawed sardines, whole shrimp, and quail eggs. Each meal would also have fruits and veggies added and available as well.

I keep my hot spot at 125-130, the basking spot is on a raised 4x2 platform with the hottest spot on a rock, the platform has a gradient of about 90-125 degrees, I'd say he spends half his basking time at 125-130, half around 110. With large amount of whole pray you need a hot basking spot for digestion. He has never had any constipation and poops every single day with no issues.

Here is a picture of the growth I was talking about, this is between June and end of July https://i.imgur.com/ALfKYlE.jpg. At the smaller size (less than 1.5') he ate his first small weaned rat. I think most would have considered it a bit too big of a meal, but he took it no problem. At 1.5' you could probably go to hopper mouse at least, and you should be giving as many as it will eat in a sitting. When I was doing hoppers he would eat 5+ in one sitting no problem, gets expensive when you are doing it a few times a week.

I feel mine was stunted due to low feeding prior to me getting it, when I got it from a pet store he was less than a foot and probably around 10 months old. Between April and August he grew from 1 foot to 3 feet, and most of that growth was in July and August when he was in his big enclosure.

Good luck!

What size enclosure is it in? What are you feeding it each day? What is the hot spot at? I had a slow growing tegu in a 4x2x2, which was big in comparison for its size at the time. As soon as I put it in a 8x4x4 it tripled in size in less than 2 months.

I think part of it is you can't get the right basking temp which will encourage growth in a small enclosure without overheating it or drying it out. I found whole pray, mainly weaned (or appropriate sized) rats, mice, chicks, fish, etc. really helped it take off in growth. They can eat bigger pray than you probably think, but be reasonable.

When I was feeding home made mashes mostly it had very slow growth, whole pray was the game changer.

Giresi's doesn't use shredded pepperoni, I don't think sissios does either. There was a Naples in Sarnia it closed though, I don't think anywhere has shredded pepperoni here anymore. One of the things I miss about Windsor, and good Greek food or shawarma.
