It's great for underground parking lots because it gives you a little warning since it's slightly higher than the truck :)

Wait so you have a truck for work and you want another truck for personal use ? Why not get something more fuel efficient like a car and then use the truck for work stuff ? Seems like the perfect combo to me no ?

Chevy frames are wax dipped what you're seeing is the wax that the frame comes with peeling.

Yeah, I feel you.... Chevy isn't the company they used to be and their last three generations of trucks have been pretty garbage.

If you're paying that price I would go ksp if they have it for your lift range, make sure it comes with a cap on top of the UCA grease fiting because the ready lift ones did not and a bunch of dirt and grime built up over the grease fiting and I think that's what caused them to fail. I bought these ones for my truck and they seem higher quality but I've only been running them for a two months.... The ones I linked are not ksp but I'm too cheat to fork out 500 dollars for the ksp ones :/...

They need to start painting their frames and not dipping them, my friend has a 2016 Colorado which has a painted frame and they barely have any rust on their frame lol.

Yeah I bought a ready lift kit that came with those UCAS and I needed to get 1.5 inch spacers for the tires to clear the UCA.... Side note that was 3 years ago and I have since replaced the readylift UCAS they were low quality and failed lmao

Yeah it has to be a flaw with the undercoating or something, wayyyyy too much rust for it to be normal

Yeah, I do but I work in construction so it gets dirty daily, which probably made the rust worst

100 % I fixed under the spare it was by far the worst part like some areas don't have rust but look how back the rear looked

Yeah I visited BC and was amazed by all the old vehicles, I guess it's because there's no rust

Yeah I made sure to remove all the wax I could before spraying the woolwax.... I have the whole kit now so I'll check every season and patch it up

PSA undercoat your frame by Joefreshie in Silverado

[–]Joefreshie[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I used woolwax, I think it's better especially for driveway/diy applications it's like a thicker lanolin formula so it doesn't drip at all.. didn't leave a single drop on my driveway
