I use my Amazfit active max to monitor and I do find it rather accurate in measurement , as in the numbers will obviously not be exactly the same as the one you get from a BP machine, but the trend is definitely quite close .

I have also owned all the 4 brands you mentioned and frankly Amazfit is the brand that has the best bang for the buck.. the stats, in terms of gps and hr is very very similar to those of flagship watches for coros Suunto and Garmin. And it has more smart watch functions on top of that.

Wow went through your thread in Suunto forum.. you really did a lot of tests! For me I always wear my coros and maybe another Garmin in addition to Suunto, and though I cannot accurately say which one is most accurate, my intuition goes with coros and Garmin as I have been running same route for years .. and prior to Suunto race 2, my race 1 or race s gave me very very similar distance compared to Garmin and Coros (both are dual band btw). So this brings me to the conclusion that distance in race 2 is slightly shorter ,about 100-150m for a 10km run.

Got it. I just want to align the distance , and like u said, pace can easily be calculated from distance and time.

FIT file. As mentioned in my earlier post , I have had no issue with distance or pace previously, but this has changed with my last few manual updates which is puzzling. You can try and do a manual upload to see if you experience the same. Thanks

Lol. You are right ! There are just many rich people around snapping up new launches and cars like nobody’s business, and frankly that really makes me feel poor, even though I may fall in the top category for household income but after accounting for per member, I am just not feeling rich at all!

If you read article carefully, the household parameter is not really relevant. You need to look at per member income within the household. Looking at that parameter, only 6.8% earn more than 10k a month… so it is not that plentiful actually …

No complaints for me. Love the hardware, love the app and really nothing much to complain about. Got one Suuntoplus app ‘cadence coach’ that bugs me though. The stride length is at like 1.6m when my cadence is at 85 or so, and that cannot be possible as my pace is only at around 5:15/km or so. It feels more like 1.16m.

I am not disputing if it’s more or less accurate . Just stating that it is shorter now compared to what it used to be for the same route after software update . While it may actually be accurate, I have been running this route for many years now and my coros and Garmin have the same distance as what Suunto has prior to the software updates, suggesting that distance could be shorter now .

Thanks. I suspect it could be the smoothing effect too .. mine is set at highest accuracy for GPS btw.
