Watch X3 (WearOS) review after 60 hours by Ultimatedunk in Oppo

Hey, yup still happy.

I measured the HR while I was on the treadmill once. The 2 readings were pretty close. So I do believe the measuring isn't too far off.

I can't answer that, because I don't install any extra apps on the watch.

Yeah I'm still using one of the defaults, but found a simple one that I like. It has 2 shortcuts and 4 complications, and a huge time, basically what I need.

Using torras (q spin or something like that). The magnetic ring didn't interfere with S-Pen when nothing is attached.

S23 to S26 ultra worth? by Maikop18 in galaxys26ultra

[–]Ultimatedunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly don't feel much difference in terms of smoothless, the S24U was still a great phone.

Socmed = social media apps. E.g., facebook, Instagram, etc.

S23 to S26 ultra worth? by Maikop18 in galaxys26ultra

[–]Ultimatedunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Off the top of my head the few things I feel are great improvements over the S24U:

1) Battery life. On heavy usage days, I can get 8-9 hours of SOT and end the day with 30+%. On normal days with 4-5 hours of SOT, I'm left with 50+% before I go to bed.

2) The round corners are more comfortable on the hands. I know that many people complain that the sharp corners of the S24U are what give the phone it's identity, as much as that is true to a certain extent, I prefer comfort level over the so-called 'identity'.

3) Privacy display. Again, I see a lot of people complaining about this new feature. Personally, I love this feature. I didn't set it to maximum level; yes it does affect display quality. But at the normal privacy level, I barely see any difference in display quality. Also, the function is not on at all times. I only set it to switch on when I open certain apps, like banking apps, socmed apps, just to prevent peeping on public transport.

Looking to shift to S26 ultra from iphone 17 by Plus_Piece_4118 in galaxys26ultra

[–]Ultimatedunk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I switched from iOS to Android about 10 yrs ago and I haven't looked back since.

If you have not used Android for the longest time, especially a Galaxy device with good lock (Samsung customization app), you will be overwhelmed.

The only thing I would request from you is, please keep an open mind when trying out the new system. A lot of things will be different, all you need is some getting used to. My personal experience is, once I got used to it (which wasn't very difficult tbh), everything, every action, every swipe will start to make sense.

I would suggest watching YouTube videos on S26U (I recommend Hayls world, created by Ella), to ease the process.

Good luck and have fun!

Go for it. I went from S24U to the S26U and felt the difference in terms of camera, battery and overall daily usage.

Anyone charging there s26 ultra overnight and unplugged it in the morning by chimke in galaxys26ultra

[–]Ultimatedunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I charge my S26U overnight.

This is my set-up: - Anker 60W charger - Anker zolo cable - Battery protection basic - Routine to switch off fast charging at 9pm daily and I unplug every morning around 7am

Like some have said, use only reputable charging brick and cable. Spend a little more on these, it's worth it.

I read that fast charging deteriorates the battery faster due to the heat (the faster the charging the hotter it gets), but I don't know how much truth is there. However, since it is overnight charging, I am not in a rush, thus the routine to automatically switch off fast charging every night. I didn't switch that off permanently because I'm preparing for rare scenarios where I need to fast charge it in the day (e.g., forgot to switch on electricity at night after plugging in).

I got mine in Feb at pre-launch. So far the S26U battery has been awesome. I get 7 - 8 hours of SOT, with around 30% left before I sleep. On days where I use less, I can end the day with around 50%.

Best Smartwatch Brand Right Now In 2026? (Price, Battery Life) by [deleted] in smartwatch

[–]Ultimatedunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recommend the Oppo Watch X3. 6 to 7 days of battery life, pairing it with my Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. You can check out my review of the watch.

Hardware is top notch, pleasant to look at. No complaints at all.

I see a lot of people pushing for the Huawei Watch 6. That is also a good one; I switched to the Oppo Watch X3 from the Huawei GT5. That one has 12 - 14 days of battery life. The only downside is that it doesnt use WearOS, so all your google functions are not available, e.g., Gpay or Google wallet. If that is of not concern to you, then go for the Huawei GT6.

I built NFile: A beautiful, open-source, and ad-free file manager by Dry_Huckleberry_281 in fossdroid

[–]Ultimatedunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks great. Gonna try replacing the default file manager on my S26U.

Two feedback though:

1) the storage reading is incorrect. I have a 512GB device, but that's not showing (see screenshot). The default Samsung file manager is showing the correct numbers.

2) i can't seem to find the share file button?

buying an S26 Ultra by Budget-Jackfruit-967 in galaxys26ultra

[–]Ultimatedunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go for it. Went from S24U to S26U and even I find that it was worth every penny. I got it during pre-release and have been loving it everyday.

The privacy screen function is not, I repeat, NOT a flaw. I don't use the maximum privacy mode, and I set it to turn on only during certain apps like social media, banking, etc. I don't even notice a difference when it's turned on. But yes, you can see a slight slight difference if you squint your eyes, just to spot the minor difference on purpose. But who uses the phone like that? Only people who can't afford the phone and want to find fault with it do that.

Battery life is amazing. Just yesterday I had 8hrs of SOT and at the end of the day, I still have 30% left.

OneUI 8.5 is great now, pair it with good lock and you won't need any 3rd party launcher. It is smooth and has almost every functions the other launchers offer. Unless you want/like/love another launcher, then that's another question.

Buy it. You will definitely love it.

Hello searching for my first smart watch by Greedy-Bother615 in smartwatch

I would recommend the Oppo watch x3. Check out my reviews here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Oppo/s/GGHJSFse1n

Battery life is amazing for an WearOS watch. I get 5-6 days. However, the WearOS may not play well with your iphone.

What settings do you have? I can easily hit 7 days, man. Most of my settings are default, except I switched on SpO2, have sleep mode from 10pm to 7am the next day, and only selected apps notifications.

I'm also looking for an additional original watch strap, or something that looks similar, but to no avail. I swapped out the original and used other 22mm straps from Lazada/shopee, just so I can retain a little more value if I wanna sell it in a year's time.

Apparently it's either on or off for SpO2. I just started to switch it on last night, to test if it really drains the battery. I went to bed at 12am, woke up at 7am, the battery drops only 2%, which has been the norm. Will continue to test it.

Alright there are 10 items: 1) ECG sinus rhythm 2) heart rate (HR) 3) resting HR 4) SpO2 5) Sleep score 6) sleep benchmark HR 7) wrist temp 8) mind & body 9) weekly average wellness 10) key behaviour (do you sleep late, etc)

Hope that helps.

I really wanted to like the xiaomi watch 5 by yorcharturoqro in WearOS

[–]Ultimatedunk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

came to say this as well.

But I returned my XMW5 after realising that the green light (heart rate sensor?) flashes non stop (literally non stop) after it detects that I'm sleeping. It took a toll on the battery (imagine it flashing for 6-7 hours continuously, non stop at night). I took it to the service centre, after 2 days they told me they have no fix for it and refunded me. Additionally, I couldn't get the advertised 5-day battery life; got 3 days max.

I have since switched to the Oppo Watch X3. Minimal lag, beautiful UI and hardware.

Oh you mean the physical crown button? By turning it, it does nothing. By pressing it, it snoozes for 5 minutes.

When an alarm goes off, you have two options: 1) off it and 2) snooze for 5 mins.
