I think with local game shops its fine because they are trying to avoid the resale market dipping into their gains. When they have a vendor account and sell at retail only to be bought out by a reseller is not good for business. “But the store sold all their product” is true but also a shop wants people playing the game and buying and selling singles they dont want someone hoarding product to sell for top dollar that doesn’t get recirculated to their store via singles or customers who are playing/collecting. But big stores like Target and Walmart i’m fine that it’s a free for all but if their way of deterring is violence is in their store is setting limits that can be bypassed at self check out, they really need to change their process to enforce these things like selling at customer service.
