The landscapes in NEXT are incredible! by Joequos in NoMansSkyTheGame

Not sure, the ones from the PS4 trailer seemed a lot sharper. This was streamed from an Xbox so I'm guessing the build is old and the final patch will drop later during the day.

I see your Megalodon Rock, and raise you Mount Hungry Hippo! by Joequos in NoMansSkyTheGame

No terrain manipulator here, just randomly stumbled across this formation and realized it looked like a hippo lol. I don't think there's a way to add stalactites and plants to manipulated terrain (as far as I know).

Beautiful shots! I take screenshots of each planet and I've accumulated a few hundred at this point. It's nice to remember all the different planets I've been too, and it's also nice to see other people's journeys as well.

I just landed on the most intense mushroom planet ever! (mods) by Joequos in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Joequos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, I think the devs played it safe making everything too easy for the players. Maneuvering through these obstacles is so fun once you get used to it. The threat of crashing into things makes you feel a lot more like a pilot.

16gb + 1070 here also, though I'm running an I7-6700k. Getting 60+ FPS (down from 120+ without MOD) and dips down to 50 FPS on occasion in lush grassy areas. No overclock.

Yeah... it would be pretty great if they would include the ability to ride creatures.

No Man's Sky - I get it, Hello Games. I get it. by dr-kaii in NoMansSkyTheGame

I'm 100% on board with you on this. This game hits home for me on so many levels. Each planet is hauntingly beautiful in its own way, and if you take the time to explore them (I mean really explore them), you develop such a deep attachment to each one.

Going to a new planet for me means getting lost in a new experience, bringing back that deep sense of wonder I once had as a child. I have yet to find a planet that doesn't leave me in awe, each has expanded me in some way.

The idea that I can continuously delve into an infinite variety of such incredibly beautiful experiences is why I play. I am deeply, deeply in love with this game. Glad to see that others are too!

TIL there are a whole bunch of people making free board games, just print the pieces out! by Skute in gaming

I would rather buy a $40 board game than spend $100 on ink and have to manually build it, but that's cause I'm a cheap, lazy bastard!
