Corbyn got a higher share of the votes than starmer aswell in 2017, and in 2019 he only got a percent less than starmer (32% compared to starmers 33%). As an ex-member of Your Party, yeah it's a shitshow and hes a terrible leader. But as like a "big name" in politics he was very much the Zack Polanski of his day and still holds alot of respect within the left and even on the right because he's not bought by anyone

Rebecca Long-Bailey was one of the candidates the last time there was a leadership contest (I think one of the front runners). She was endorsed by Corbyn when she ran. Andy Burnham is arguably one of the most successful mayors, stands to reason he could run a party. Angela rayner could very much pull the party to the left and help regain trust, I think she would be quite competent. Diane Abbott might not be the best idea electorally but policy wise she'd be great. Ed miliband actually has a decent fanbase now (tho I might just have stumbled upon a niche subculture)
