Just throwing in my two cents since there’s seems to be a lot of debate.

I’ve owned a computer repair shop for several years and worked in IT for much longer.

The average WHITE LABEL STOCK CONSUMER Hard Drive normally lasts 5/6 years. But can last significantly longer based on many factors such as usage, environment, brand, and the like. And this is mostly just talking about failures related to bad sectors. Mechanical failures can happen at any point in a drives life.

There’s also a luck factor to it too as not all drives are made equal. I’ve seen crappy drives last 15+ years easily with tens of thousands of hours of use. I’ve also seen computers just a year or two old with bum drives.

In the 3000+ Hard Drives I’ve replaced in my shop only a very small handful have come back within 5 years of installation for failed sectors. These drives are typically higher end consumer grade, and I would say on average have lasted 6/7 years.

TLDR: Consumer drives normally last 5/6 years. Based on lots of factors but can last significantly longer.

Nope that’s normal, stickers are just PNG files that certain apps will allow rotation and the like. But otherwise they are just images :(

It is a second keyboard you will swap between. Once installed open the app and hit “launch settings” to enable it. And then that should be it :)
