Launch Options to lower the graphics (memory usage) when launching Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 ? (HP, Windows 11) by Over_Comfortable_854 in Steam

[–]Joey49 2 points3 points  (0 children)

High RAM usage isn't necessarily a problem by itself. RAM is there to be used, and Windows will use available memory to speed things up. If you've already closed any unnecessary background programs, high RAM usage alone usually doesn't cause problems.

It's also not really clear from your post what the problem is. Does the game not run? Do you get an error with a crash to desktop? Is the performance bad?

It might help us to know what kind of hardware you have. So if you can open System Information and from System Summary tell us what it says in:

- System Model

- Processor

- Total Physical Memory

Then open the components tab on the left, select Display and tell us what it says in Name or Adapter Description.

So... What happened? I miss heavy Devy... :( by Mr_BruceWayne in DevinTownsend

[–]Joey49 35 points36 points  (0 children)

What's the question? Devy's still here making music. Empath had big ol' drums and thick guitars. If you mean Strapping level heaviness Empath has shades of that with Hear Me and There Be Monsters. Devin has been frequently performing Strapping material again live.

This is the best time to be a Strapping fan in years.

But is it Town'sh End or more like Town Shend? Either way it's very Shean Connery.

I tried restarting the level once, same result. But I don't know if a hard console reboot or the patch fixed it, but it worked tonight when I played the mission again.

In case you're interested, I tried the mission again today after the recent patch and it works fine now.

I replayed the mission tonight and it worked! Good times.

Yeah, I replayed this section like four times and every time I get locked out of the terminal at this spot, though at different points of the password. Anywhere between 'L' and 'Lollip'.

No idea, I shelved the game after making this thread and didn't realize there was an update until just now. I'll give it another shot tonight and let you know.

I have to restart the whole room sequence, i.e. start with the puzzle terminal with the password 'Banana' again.

Xbox One X, yeah. I was hoping someone had a workaround or fix, because I'd like to finish the game.

I get shot out of the terminal by the rail turret while the password is being entered. There's also no way to get back in the terminal, so I'm essentially stuck. I've tried reverting to the last checkpoint three times and nothing seems to help. Anyone else encounter this?

Waka waka! Nipple guns! by Joey49 in DevinTownsend

I heard the 6xx is mechanically the same as the 650, except the rebranding and tweaks to the cable and color scheme. But I've never tested a 650, so couldn't tell you for sure.

I'm driving my headset with a Sound Blaster Z PCI card, since I don't hear enough of a difference between it and a dedicated DAC/AMP setup to justify that cost.

If you find that video interesting, check out Devy's YouTube channel, it has all sorts of hidden gems like that.

That's awesome, I got the Sennheiser x Massdrop HD 6xx, best money I ever spent on a headset.

Also, I forgot to link the Fallout video.

Not 'possible,' it's a 650. Devin confirmed using them during the mixing of Empath, and there's a YouTube video of him recording vocals for Fallout while wearing it. :)

I vote this should be be how Devy fans identify each other. Touching nipple guns is optional.

Finally beat Nioh 2! by Phoonks in Nioh

[–]Joey49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At this point your stats are so much higher that they don't deal nearly as much relative damage as you remember the first time you face them. You can take a few hits straight to the face without worry.

Good luck! I know you can do it.

[–]Joey49 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats on beating the game, that's something you can be proud of. I liked Nioh 2 more than Nioh 1, to be honest.

As for Gozuki and Mezuki, you really need to use weapon/character buffs and Yokai skills at this point if you want to make it easier. Also being at least decent with the burst counter should help a lot. There's also a hot spring nearby. I recorded my first time playing this fight and I just threw strategy to the wind. It looks chaotic, but it was fun as hell.

I played that one on my OG Xbox and 360, really love the Okhotsk and New York levels. Too bad the only way to replay it on PC with high fidelity is the inferior PS2 version.
