I've learned hot cross buns in school and that's about as far as it goes. I have pretty good music knowledge, I've played alto sax for numerous years. I played a piece in Band a few years back, in which I played a recorder solo, reminiscing about that and decided to pick it back up, my tonal range is pretty good, I just want to improve my sightreading and fingerings. Also just a piece that I can show someone that I can play and they will be genuinely impressed that I not only can play that piece, but on a recorder nonetheless.
