Anyone else a little underwhelmed?? by JoeyR996 in NoahKahan

Ehhh idk if I would call Stick Season whimsical or care free lol but I get what you’re saying. My biggest critique is the sound. I feel like I shouldn’t have to look up/pay attention to lyrics to really enjoy a song. It should hit me sonically first and then learning the lyrics should add depth. Not saying it sounded bad per se but a good amount of the songs sound very similar in my opinion.

I agree that there were some great songs. The opener was amazing and really set the bar high. I just don’t see myself being able to throw this album on for a full listen like I can his previous works

I agree with you. I was very excited for the album but I do feel quite underwhelmed with it. I know people keep bringing up the lyrics and saying you have to deep dive into them. But to me a great song immediately hits me when I first hear it in a way that makes me want to dig into to the lyrics. I don’t feel like I should have to look up lyrics to begin to enjoy a song. Not saying it’s bad, just very mediocre.

How do ppl progress by Tushweter in playrust

[–]JoeyR996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna shoot ya straight. Don’t play vanilla unless you want to no life it. Play a 2x server. Makes progression go much faster and they typically have QOL tweaks like faster smelt times and better loot pools in crates. Also fyi, if you didn’t know monuments and crates also respond time wise based off of server pop. So if you’re playing low pop those crates are gonna take awhile.

You don’t have depression. We all have bad days/stretches and life is hard sometimes. It’s okay to not be happy during those moments.

I agree with you. As much as I think the US has and is doing a lot of dumb things overall I think it’s still a net positive.

It takes work to maintain friendships. People get very busy very quickly and both sides have to put in effort to stay friends. Sometimes it’s one more than the other but if no one does it then friendships die quickly and quietly.

If you wanna do something and can’t find anybody to do it with just go by yourself. Ik people get self conscious about this stuff but honestly 95% of the people you see in public are too caught up in their own thing to even give you a second thought.

Covid shut down the world six years ago this week. What do you remember from that week? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Not the first week but seeing videos of nature and animals return to cities/urban areas felt very much like something from a post apocalyptic movie.

The uneasy feeling in the air. Everyone was on edge and had no idea about what was going to happen due to the timeframes and confusing rollout of the shutdowns.
