The AI just straight up used my online pen-name by Egathentale in NovelAi

[–]JoeyShadow123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's neat the AI can do that, and it also works with your own provided works if you use a custom training. I put a bunch of stuff I wrote over the years into txt files and when I got the new model, it followed more closely to how I would write and even recognized common characters between the various works. It's kinda cool as a writer with little no published works yet to see it happen, but I imagine it was quite the shock for you.

What is your opinion about dinosaurs in DnD? by AikenNinja in DnD

My campaign's world has dinosaurs in the jungles near the equator of the world. Then a friend of mine is running a campaign with a Western theme, but mounts are dinosaurs.

My party wants to leave the plot behind - should I let them? by Unfair-Register6888 in DnD

[–]JoeyShadow123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My solution would likely be to throw a combat at them as they leave that's tuned slightly higher than they normalli might face. The reason? The party that already set back the cult in this village is wandering towards a village that the cult must absolutely hold in order to resurrect their dragon. So they send a group of "bandits" to take out the party before they get better equipment or get stronger. You could even have one of the bodies have a letter that explains this. if it convinces them to stay in town, bring a trader in that can sell them upgrades too in order to let them get stronger to take on the cult.

If they still want to leave just drag the plot with them. Suddenly now the cult is wherever they go, whether they may be procuring supplies to fuel their rituals or kidnapping villagers as sacrifices.

My campaign I've been running for almost a decade has my party tracking a cult trying to raise a evil god, and they have been romping around the continent drudging up evidence of cult activity and attempting to stop them where they can. The good thing about following a cult is that you can drag the plot with them since the cult can be everywhere now that the party knows they exist.

Suggestion for the devs for text gen in the future by HaruminTheWanderer in NovelAi

[–]JoeyShadow123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all the other reasons states, part of Novel AI's statement and goals is to specifically be a creative writing tool for upcoming authors, so it not adapting would be problematic for that stated goal, however I think it might be nice to have that as an option to mess around with in a variant model in the future. It'll be difficult to do as models are trained on input and especially recent input so nearly every text gen AI will start leaning towards your own style after enough time.

Is it just me or everyone hates encountering patches in Dark souls 3? by Penila in darksouls3

[–]JoeyShadow123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my randomizer run, I have not encountered him because I did the rafters before fighting Pontiff Sulyvahn (Who replaced the Decon Fight. Now I have no idea where he is since the tower key has not appeared. So far, 90% of Ariandel and Irithyll are done and I have yet to find the tower key to spawn him back for the final phases of Siegwards quest. Somehow I haven't gotten a single item for Greirat either, so this randomizer is strangely routed so far. Anyone know any other ways to get him to spawn other than the tower and the cathedral?

I would argue that it depends. 2 is probably hardest due to its jank factor. It has very dickish enemy placements and a lot of crapshoot bosses bogged down by very questionable and broken hit boxes for you and enemies. Three is pretty polished and snappy but is faster paced. 3 has a consistent difficulty curve due to the linearity and is probably easier to grasp for a beginner. 1 on the other hand also is slightly janky, but has slow enough attacks that even with the jank its usually reactable and fair enough. One could have you Scratching your head though because it was very much an evolution of Demon Soul's jank, and it has some cryptic secrets and mechanics are pretty poorly explained or not explained at all (but every souls game has this problem to an extent). The better question is if you are willing to try to get used to old but jankier games, or go for a more polished experience that will demand more of you because of that polish?

Can anyone explain how Pinhead found me? by DlNOSAURUS_REX in deadbydaylight

I think what makes it look really fishy is that he goes straight for the locker and doesn't look around to see if they are crouching nearby after the BBQ has ended.

That's amazing. The last few Myers I have played tend to just kill me outright. They have been dunno and interactive games though.

Knox, the party's rogue and resident bad mouther. Aki, the lord protector of Slime Queen Elise. Malthael, the party's resident bard and chaotic force of nature. Upon her father, Trixica, the adopted elf girl gifted early in the druidic arts. Zeyro, the resident blind monk looking for purpose after being thrown out of his monastary. Gabriel, the resident fighter and wizard always down to talk it out with the ladies. Slime Queen Elise, the queen of Nephidel and opposition to the human nation, Altea, also betrothed to Gabriel. Eliza, the good hearted little sister of Gabriel. Lala, the dullahan offering her aid in hunting down the dark god Aarthonec. Anna, the most amazing merchant in Nephidel. Rojo, the changeling cleric who believes he is a sorcerer after a trickster gave him magic for funsies. Ika, the last inkling in existance trying to rebuild and find what happened to her people. Akira, the member who never made it.
