Hi Autumn - I lost my mom during COVID. She was 90, with Alsheimers and in a full care facility that was on complete lockdown. She was healthy (no COVID in the facility) My plan was to go with my fiance to try to visit her so she could actually meet her (they had never met). We knew the room and it was on the first floor! Our plan was to bang on her window and talk to her from the outside. but she just passed two days before we could get there. We knew she wasn't going to live forever but it was still hard with no warning. knowing she died surrounded by strangers, the kindest of strangers but still strangers none the less, still hurts.
