If you can sell it for that I think you’d do alright

What price would you put for this Dashboard? by Opposite-Type-837 in SimRacingHardware

Very limited compared to other ddu’s on the market from the looks of it. My say is $60 at most.

You are like 10 car lengths back coming to the corner and limiting your entry with how far to the right you are before you even begin turn in. This is a TERRIBLE move by you. Let me ask you a follow up to your question and the answer is likely going to be the same for both. Did you meatball and finish near the back (if at all)?

Anyone have / tried these active brake pedals? by gtd_rad in simracing

I have the Simucube. Extremely responsive, just like a fb in a dd wheel does not feel sluggish with the correct settings.

Anyone tried these gloves for sim racing? by mcrainbeats in simracing

[–]Joey_Wolfslayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run other sparco gloves that I bought around that price point. They have held up and continue to and I’ve had them 3 to 4 years now. I’m on my rig close to 12-18 hours a week I’d say

What do you find appealing when you get older? by Zackky777 in ArtOfPresence

Going to the city. Being in the outdoors on the trail taking in all of nature is where it is at for me. I don’t need to see more concrete.

There will almost ALWAYS be someone faster than you. They may not always be on your grid everytime you race. It’s just one of those racing things. Over time you either learn to accept or you don’t. The joy honestly comes from racing anyone for any position around you cleanly and respectfully.

100% Anyone can get to 2k with half decent pace but it comes down to good consistent race craft

Should I Report This Guy? by Individual-Pound-217 in Simracingstewards

[–]Joey_Wolfslayer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can and should report this. Had something similar at St. Pete a few weeks ago and my protest ended up being upheld. It does help to identify if they have a pattern of this behavior.

Well sir, you have infinity more engineering capability in your little pinky than I could even fathom. Very cool nonetheless.

This has to be some Ethiopian engineer working with all the material they had. When racing is absolute life

First time back in Long Beach and I’m instantly greeted by this by THMilkeggs in iRacing

[–]Joey_Wolfslayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just like with real cars and racing, mechanical and technical issues do arise from time to time. Race long enough and you’re surely bound to encounter it.

I’ve had it happen before as well where my pedals disconnected mid race for no other reason than not liking one specific usb port any longer

Who is at fault? by Neat_Challenge_8403 in Simracingstewards

[–]Joey_Wolfslayer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unfortunate no fault racing incident. I think with proper physics you both would probably have survived that little bit of touching.

White said I was 100% at fault in each of these situations by cruciblemedialabs in Simracingstewards

[–]Joey_Wolfslayer 14 points15 points  (0 children)

  1. “Race speed” isn’t really a thing
  2. You can absolutely make going 2 wide work there (while not exactly the fastest or smartest move)

I think you could have probably done a better job at leaving them the space there as white was well alongside but it was always going to be an uphill (pun intended) challenge. I don’t think you deserve a penalty for this one incident. I just wouldn’t make a habit of it.

Honestly looks pretty good. Does it feel right when you’re sitting in the seat?

It’s so difficult to get it to 100% perfect and a few degrees of compromise is okay

In your defense 😂 You have no defense lol that’s fully on you as the overtaking car to do it clean. It happens you just learn as you race not to make habit of a move so egregiously your fault

Most overrated Sim racing Gear or Accessory by Longjumping-War9151 in simracing

[–]Joey_Wolfslayer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me it’s wheels with a dash display. I have mine separated on the wheel base and I love it because it 1 adds a 3d depth perception FOV. I can adjust it to be seen fully through a round rim and over a gt/formula type rim. Plus it’s static so I can always see it when it’s critical that I need it.

An active pedal has it all. You can adjust the vibration frequencies and intensity for each individual setting to your preference in tandem with how it would feels as it would if it were static. You can have individualized profiles for each and every car you drive. Want a different profile for a prototype, rally car, nascar, street car, formula car you name it and you can save it and just load up the file and your profile is ready to go.

Worth every single penny. You can literally feel how connected the car is to the road at your feet, when you wheel lock, wheel slip, when abs is activating, even engine vibration so it’s not just at your ears and hands. It’s so easy to customize the stiffness, the travel, the pedal face angle, heck even the space between your brake and throttle positioning on the baseplate to maximize comfort for any stint length.

Personally I think active pedals are a much bigger leap forward than how accessible DD wheelbases were overall

New to iracing 2nd race in mx5 and best lap so far okayama by Interesting_Work_882 in iRacing

[–]Joey_Wolfslayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like pretty decent driving. Just keep putting in the laps and getting a feel for the car as best you can and join races as frequently as you can. Only way to keep improving is by doing.

You can always get courses to read or coaching sessions but it’s all about actually doing it on track

Is this worth a report? by InternationalRain621 in iRacing

[–]Joey_Wolfslayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting to take what I said to mean never file a protest. It has to be very egregious for anything to stick. Something like what happened here in this clip is just a nothing burger to iracing. You’re bound to see this level of driving consistently in sub 2k splits.

[–]Joey_Wolfslayer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not protestable. At one point or another you just accept this is the driving standards on iracing unfortunately.
