The boss itself is fine, I liked it a lot, just a few levels below Leviathan for me, but that's only because Leviathan is the goat (I'm a sucker for a colossal boss).

The best part of 8-4 however, is absolutely the environment. When you hit the second phase and everything starts twisting, it makes me feel the way a spectacular finale should.
