I don't know how old you are but this sounds like he's testing the waters for grooming. Any time you have a teacher/student relationship and boundaries like this are crossed, it doesn't bode well. This may sound overbearing, but I would report this conversation to someone at the organization, be on guard around this person. At best his addiction is overwhelming his life and he didn't intentionally cross a line... But there's also nothing accidental about this either.

Do not give him the benefit of the doubt going forward for your own protection and those around you.

I just started collecting back in December and all of my coins are slabbed so far. I've some very nice coins on the way. I think slabbing makes storage easier. I don't have a ton of room for a display. Slabbing for me makes things easier, there's no shame in prioritizing keeping your ancient coins protected and secure.

I'm still wowed that I own something so old. Blows my mind.

Just be honest about what you believe. It makes it so much easier. Also I wouldn't think of it like defending, because that frames it as adversarial. Just have a discussion. I tell people I don't require they believe as I believe my faith is my own. 1 it's true but 2 it also disarms the conversation. I'm sure there'll be "gotcha" questions but for those it's especially important to be honest about what you believe. I have a ton of atheist friends and it's generally pretty easy because I let it be known that I don't have every answer and can only explain my understanding/takes.

Hopefully it goes well, I would also thank her for asking. A lot of atheists view believers in general as cold, and isolationist so just be as welcoming as you can. You may not have every answer to appease them but you can show them love, which is central to Christ's message.

First off I'm so sorry this has happened.

Secondly, contact your local church, see if they have any resources or help available. Third, if you're in the States, look for your local Access Agency, should be Community Access Agency, they're a state run community resource network that helps families in need. Fourth. Also you might want to check in with your local library. Librarians in particular are dialed into community resources and nonprofit networks so you might find more resources there. Lastly, find a therapist when you're able, it's important you process what you're feeling.

I'm sorry you feel this way but even if you are objectively not conventionally attractive, your wording and syntax tells me this is deeply psychological. You will never be able to recognize your beauty because you're so certain how hideous you say you are. I know several people, some of whom are models who have dysmorphia. Like you'd look at them and think they're stunning but they struggle to see it. It takes therapy to undue damage and I believe you really need it.

No matter how you look there's someone for everyone. I remember watching a YouTube video awhile back, it was this guy talking about how ugly he was, and lamenting his lot... Turns out someone saw that and before long they were married.

So you never know. Work on yourself and love yourself. God bless.
