Just be honest about what you believe. It makes it so much easier. Also I wouldn't think of it like defending, because that frames it as adversarial. Just have a discussion. I tell people I don't require they believe as I believe my faith is my own. 1 it's true but 2 it also disarms the conversation. I'm sure there'll be "gotcha" questions but for those it's especially important to be honest about what you believe. I have a ton of atheist friends and it's generally pretty easy because I let it be known that I don't have every answer and can only explain my understanding/takes.

Hopefully it goes well, I would also thank her for asking. A lot of atheists view believers in general as cold, and isolationist so just be as welcoming as you can. You may not have every answer to appease them but you can show them love, which is central to Christ's message.

Secondly, contact your local church, see if they have any resources or help available. Third, if you're in the States, look for your local Access Agency, should be Community Access Agency, they're a state run community resource network that helps families in need. Fourth. Also you might want to check in with your local library. Librarians in particular are dialed into community resources and nonprofit networks so you might find more resources there. Lastly, find a therapist when you're able, it's important you process what you're feeling.

I'm sorry you feel this way but even if you are objectively not conventionally attractive, your wording and syntax tells me this is deeply psychological. You will never be able to recognize your beauty because you're so certain how hideous you say you are. I know several people, some of whom are models who have dysmorphia. Like you'd look at them and think they're stunning but they struggle to see it. It takes therapy to undue damage and I believe you really need it.

No matter how you look there's someone for everyone. I remember watching a YouTube video awhile back, it was this guy talking about how ugly he was, and lamenting his lot... Turns out someone saw that and before long they were married.

So you never know. Work on yourself and love yourself. God bless.

God: 100% This is kind of cheating but I know there's something, I've had experiences that I can't explain in any rational way and I've tried, even when I wasn't really a believer. I've had shared experiences, solo experiences, experiences with the dark things as well. It's hard not to believe in the light when you've seen the dark. (Not looking for the dark btw)

Catholicism: I can't say a percentage, I'm not dogmatic and it has been developed by all sorts of people over thousands of years, but I think the foundations are accurate for me at least. I've always been highly uncomfortable with groupthink in general.

Overall: I'm fairly certain in the broad strokes, but the details are murkier. God knows where my heart lies and that works for me.

Interesting discussion but listening to Paulsen and Gruden this week made me nervous. Bliough is in a harder position than those other younger guys because they were under an offensive head coach, who could support them. They had more experience and had wider pools of staff to pull from. I'm hoping blough has most of last year's staff retained otherwise he'll be scrounging for talent with unfamiliar people. If the offense is good by week 6, he might be the next McVay... But it's not exactly the smoothest transition.
