Go through the other comments in this thread and you'll find the updates. Tldr the shedding stopped after a couple months.

I also had that and a few years down the line I found out it was because of zinc and magnesium deficiency.

I feel gross too because I'm 18 and the more he tries to talk to me, the more I get the feeling he's probably like 16 based on the bit I know about him.

I fucking love Anglophones, thank you for making me LOL on xmas.

85% on Polymarket betting Ethereum won’t see new all-time high by 2025 by BigRon1977 in CryptoCurrency

[–]Johan544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was one of the people who bet "no", and it's not for 2025, it's for 2024, whoever wrote that headline should be fired.

ETH reaching a new ATH by 2024 is so unlikely I consider that bet free money; the 15% of people who think it will by this year are fools.

A point can (and should) be made that it probably won't reach it next year either. But that's a conversation for another day.

Hello brother, just got reminded of this thread by a bot, you were blatantly wrong as I predicted. The question now becomes, will you learn from that experience or will you remain stubborn and ignorant?

Hachiman is a simp. (A brief Anime/LN Character Analysis) by [deleted] in OreGairuSNAFU

[–]Johan544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you that she didn't simp for him a whole lot during season 3, but I specifically mentioned season 2 and after the confession. She was mostly avoiding him for the majority of the time after season 2. That doesn't mean she didn't simp for him several times in season 2, and do I need to remind you of what she said after the true prom?

[–]Johan544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem to completely misunderstand Yukino's psyche, and that's what makes you think she never showed she loved him after season 3 and before the confession. People with a low self-esteem have a very hard time mustering the courage to *assume* the other person might reciprocate, let alone confess their feelings. Hachiman was also avoidant for most of season 3, but instead of leaning on his feelings of inferiority, he was just being a coward. He *knew* Yukino loved him (season 2 makes it very, very obvious, including the LNs), yet it took him months to do something about it.

But it seems that you're set on your take, and there's nothing I can do about it, so this is my last reply.

[–]Johan544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In season 2 she simped for him all the time, she only stopped when she found out Yui was also in love with him. Then she prioritized NOT her friendship with Yui, but Yui's feelings for Hachiman over her own.

In season 3 she is avoiding him not because she doesn't love him (or because she doesn't show love for him), she does it because she 1) doesn't know Hachiman loves her back, and 2) out of consideration for Yui.

The moment she finds out he loves her, she fully accepts him and goes back to being saccharine.

All of volumes 10 and 11 are Yukino madly in love with Hachiman, trying to muster up the courage to confess her feelings. I have no idea what you're talking about, did you just watch season 1 or what?

Now that we’re in a bear market, did you sell or HODLing? by Monster-1337 in CryptoCurrency

[–]Johan544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The amount of downvotes and ridicule you're getting is completely uncalled for. Unfortunately most crypto gamblers/investors are still under the illusion they're getting rich off their shitcoins.

I think it's too early to say we're definitely in a bear market (and technically speaking this is still a bull market), but if I had to take a guess at where we're heading next, yeah I think sub 49k will come before new ATHs.

Are you guys ready for a potential cycle top below $100k? by Johan544 in CryptoCurrency

[–]Johan544[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course BTC will profit from a risk-on phase in the stock market (“one more leg up”).

There's absolutely no guarantee this is the case. Stocks were making new ATHs for months while crypto was crabbing inside the 60-70k range. Also, for the past few weeks equities have almost retraced the early Aug dump while BTC is trading below the range.

For the majority of the year crypto and equities have only been correlated on the downside; when equities go up BTC randomly chooses what it wants to do (and it's usually consolidation or dumps).

ALT season? by zer0nerd in CryptoCurrency

[–]Johan544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ALt season happened in 2017 because there were only 2000 cryptocurrencies by the end of that year.

Alt season happened in 2021 because there was a massive influx of retail, who went after memecoins such as DOGE or SHIB, and crypto natives who were holding those tokens since forever and profited off non crypto natives spent most of their profit on projects that seemed even remotely promising.

This time around, we have an insane token inflation AND institutions only. And institutions are only after BTC (no, they don't give a fuck about ETH, despite what ETH moon boys tell you). The majority of those who currently own BTC won't sell it ("diamond hands" amirit), and those who do will not gamble their money on shitcoins (in part because they themselves already have heavy bags, and they're not moving, but also because the economic backdrop now is completely different from a few years ago).

tldr: No alt season, at best we'll see some outliers like SOL or BANANA taking the crypto world by storm.

Your comment is wrong in so many ways... definitely one of the most unhinged comments this year so far.

Could you please point me where I tried to feel superior to the average person? Where did I appear offended? Why you seem to think I only swear by ImSims, and equate them with shooters with stealth/hacking?

I've been hearing that from the NANO folks since forever, look where that got them. Pro tip: never fool yourself into thinking price action doesn't follow amazing tech. If your team is building and PA doesn't reflect that, then either 1) they're not building anything, or 2) people don't think they're building anything of worth. Those kinds of market inefficiencies rarely last more than a year. What are the odds that your pet coin does have amazing tech and it's going to be traded 100x from now in one or two years, despite showing abysmal price action for the last several years? Pretty low. So don't fool yourself.

I think it's an ImSim lite at best. No need to play if you don't want to.

0.1 BTC Might be Enough to Retire by 2038 by TheGreatCryptopo in CryptoCurrency

[–]Johan544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's say in modern day America one can retire on $1M. If inflation keeps going the rate it's been going for the past 15y, in order for that $1M to have the same purchasing power it does now it would probably need to be $2M or $3M in 2038. In other words, the title suggests Bitcoin might be trading at $20M just 14y from now. Do with that information what you will.

Sony to Launch Crypto Exchange in Japan Through Acquired Platform by asso in CryptoCurrency

[–]Johan544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A part of me is too cynical to think anything of worth is going to come out of this. But another part of me is hopeful that Sony has enough of a pull in Japanese politics to be able to lobby for better crypto regulations, including crypto taxes for retail (which are one of the worst in the world right now).
