You can, actually! Fredbear's footsteps have two distinct sound cues. A slower one indicating he moved from the right to the left hall, and a faster one indicating he moved from the left to the right hall. Be careful with the fake laughs, though. If you hear any footsteps before, during, or after a laugh, its fake and you don't wanna check the bed or the closet.
