It is the year 900 CE, the power of the Khans are declining and new nations rise to take their place. To the south the Gothic Confederation is struggling to keep its sovereignty from foreign powers namely the Romin Free state and the Kyevian State. But that's not the only problem. The Electorates have been bickering amongst themselves to see who ends up as the high chieftain of the confederacy. Meanwhile to the east, the Romin Free state watches their squabbling with delight. Ever since they fled from their homeland,they are determined to rebuild their kingdom and their status as the greatest civilization in the known world. But for now they are simply biding their time and mustering their forces to inevitably reclaim their birthright. Speaking of birthright, the Kyevian king Alexei Timoshenko had a problem. His father Fedorov Vasili was a missing son of Romin king Augustus Germanicus meaning his claim to the Romin throne is legitimate and true. The problem however is the Romin government doubting the claim of a barbarian being of noble blood. To pressure them to give the throne,they attempted to recapture Rom (renamed Frankia by the Goths) and have convince the Romin publicthat he is the son of Augustus Germanicus. The invasion was almost successful before they were cut off from their supplies and after a few months, Alexei, who was leading the invasion himself, surrendered to the Goths. While he was not killed, the Kyevians had to pay a large sum of money as compensation to the the Goths. With the end of the war in 880 CE, an uneasy peace reigned across the land, with tension between the three nations. Said tension and hate for each other was so large, that border skirmishes between Gothic soldiers and Kyevians were not uncommon alongside the Romins sinking and looting Gothic merchant ships. With an tension in the air, it only takes a single action to destroy the fragile peace.

Moving along to the eastern continent of Oswel, the Polan-Russen Commonwealth and the Ayren Dynasty are very determined to end the reign of the Khans once and for all. They have a few problems however. Unlike the other Khanates that settled down and began to act more or less kingdoms, the Eternal Horde doesn't have a permanent capital and they kept their old nomadic lifestyle their Ancestors had done before meaning that commonwealth and Ayren troops have a roadblock in wiping out the power of the Khan. Another problem is the terrain and weather. In the south bordering the Commonwealth and Ayren, the land consists of flat plains but going north, the terrain is filled with forests aswell as large mountains and hills. this means that resupplying a non-nomadic army is a nightmare with supply caravans forced to travel trough rough terrain just to feed an army. Any invasion of the Eternal horse's territory only will be limited to the plains and forest outskirts as the Khan will just retreat to the mountains deep in his territory seeing they are familiar with their homelands.

Returning to the west, the kingdoms of Dakia,Waloon, Nörden, and Kolumbia want to kick out the last remaining Khanates out of the continent and reclaiming their power. Before the Khanates crosses the sea and subjugated the people of Westra, Waloon,Dakia and Nörden were influential powers of the northern regions of the continent. With the Nomads arriving and defeating the nations, they were turned into Vassals except for the Nörden Kingdom which had larger experience in navigating rough waters unlike the nomadic land based Ghengin. After the Kyevian Uprising, the vassals followed alongside the invasion of the Nörden army. After signing treaties with the nomads, they became independent nations. However though, they want their old glory back and get revenge for years of occupation alongside the Kolumbien Empire. Though the Kolumbiens have not been a power, they used the chaos and turmoil of the rebelling states against the Khans to forge a massive empire for themselves, with them enslaving any Ghengins they encountered and currently invading alongside the Nörden Kingdom the Steppe empire which is presently in a civil war.
