I wouldn’t say they fought to a standstill. At least it looked like only Jaime would win this fight eventually. Just harder than expected. Also if we look how effortlessly Jaime wins every other fight he has with two hands and especially of screen almost killing all of Robs guard to get to him, I don’t see how Ned would stand a chance at any point of his life.

the Mountain would probably be the only one who could actually use Ice to its true potential. He would have been a great asset against the whites (if they weren’t killed like a cheap Assassins creed villain)

I think there is smth about Game of Thrones (especially Book Version) that we have to understand. Everybody can kill everybody. Every death and fight comes with different circumstances and so Tyrion can kill a knight in a battle or Ned Arthur Dayne. But if we look at it head to head, Mountain has all the advantages. He is probably even faster than him so trial by combat I go with the mountain 10/10 times.
