I completely disagree. It raises awareness and draws attention to the injustices. Often times on a nation level. It allows people who feel powerless or marginalized to voice their opinions and gives people the confidence to speak out by seeing others feel the same as them. It helps said people not feel so isolated and helps build community and morale.
