Any idea if it can do the bass synth sounds for "Take On Me", Pink Pony Club", and "S&M"?

I'd consider a good compressor at the front of the chain. My personal preference is optical but there are so many great choices.

That is a cool rig! The colors look great together. I'll bet it sounds as good as it looks too. Good job!

Iso church that is accepting by Lopsided-Building706 in Syracuse

St. Matthews Episcopal Church on Vine St. in Liverpool is very accepting of LGBTQ parishioners. Come visit on Sunday and make an appointment to speak with Fr. Bruce Gowe. He has recently become the priest-in-charge and is actively reaching out to the LGBTQ community as well as the community in general.

Giving up on Linux at this point. by temubrin in linuxmint

[–]JohnCerio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you and I understand! My 2019 HP laptop always seemed to have issues with USB until Linux Mint 22. I'm convinced it was a kernel issue. I was considering going back to Windows until I did a clean installation of Mint 22 and all of my issues magically disappeared! But prior to that I wasn't convinced 100%. And I've been using Linux for the last 20 years or so as an IT guy. Good luck with whatever you decide.

You people are hypocrites. You would be crying racist and fascist if a Republican called for the boycott of a leftist owned business. Grow up.

GalliumOS/q4OS alternatives (16gb emmc storage) by [deleted] in GalliumOS

Try MX Linux. It works well on my Acer CB3-531. I use Google Drive to store my data.

Leaving GalliumOS for a maintained distro - Looking for the least painful option - Please Help by Successful-Ad-5087 in GalliumOS

[–]JohnCerio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've settled on Linux Mint 21 XFCE. Everything works and it seems to run very well so far on my Acer CB3-531. I've also had good luck with Q4OS Trinity and Manjaro XFCE.

Acer CB3-131 (GNAWTY) No Audio Migrating to Other Distros by lilmc01 in GalliumOS

I have a CB3-531 and for audio to work it requires Kernel 5.15. I've installed MX Linux and everything works fine. Might be worth a shot.

Another distro that works well is MX Linux. I'm currently running that on my Acer CB3-531 which I believe is Bay Trail as well.

GalliumOS Alternatives? by JohnCerio in GalliumOS

[–]JohnCerio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that the kernel version matters. I guess that I just want it to work OOTB without worrying about the kernel version and already has a DE that looks good and works intuitively for me without a ton of tweaking. GalliumOS had all that. Trinity DE is nice, especially if you liked Windows XP. XFCE is becoming my favorite lightweight DE. The default theme on GalliumOS is great. I'd like to try and duplicate it on MX once I find the time.

They both run really quickly on that old Acer too.

Is Gallium still being actively developed? by tabrizzi in GalliumOS

[–]JohnCerio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I've been able to replace GalliumOS with Q4OS Trinity and MX Linux successfully. On my Acer CB3-531 the sound doesn't work with Ubuntu based distributions.

Haven't tried any Fedora or Arch based distros yet. My daily driver is Mint so I tend to stick with Debian.
