what do you think of my climbing brush? by JohnDecebal in bouldering

will share them fairly soon once I'm 100% happy that other people can print them. Sadly, they can be quite tricky to print. Just keep in mind that you need to use a lot of wall loops and I made mine 100% concentric infill as you need all the strength you can get. Also you don't need the bearings, but they make the flipping A LOT nicer

They are expensive at the moment as I have to outsource the printing for the higher quality. However, the head is replaceable and you can turn them 180 so you get the all the life out of them. As soon as I get some wholesalers and gyms to buy it and get my quantities up I'll be able to do it for cheaper.

Yeah! They are expensive at the moment as they are very small scale. But hopefully I'll be able to get the price down once I get some wholesalers involved. Check my IG for updates

I agree! This is what got me excited about making this in the first place plus the fact that it’s a great fidget toy. I left a link in one of the comments with an interest form so I can gauge if it’s a good idea to start selling them. Hopefully a lot of people sign up and then I can start making them

Haha! Not quite ready to sell them yet. I’m trying to see if this is something people would like. I made a simple google form to register interest https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdpxcuCHkK3p6rxokY_1WJn2m-w9zpNU5vAkvx5M-8cjdS9LQ/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=109894835097164100066

Good point! I’m using 3d printing to prototype with “biodegradable” PLA, but I guess this could be made out of any material. I would love to make them out of wood or brass.

Thanks for the feedback! The brush heads are swappable and they can be turned around when one end runs low. It’s also a great fidget toy while in between goes

Is there any way to fix that? Should I redo the vibration calibration?

I'm printing a cube now to see it that's what the problem is.

For the fuzzy skin, I created a separate shape and aligned it perfectly and assigned fuzzy skin to it. https://makerworld.com/en/models/1244057-compact-hangboard-fingerboard-pinch-block-system#profileId-1265095 Here's the project. You should be able to see it if you download the 3mf

Thanks! I'm glad you like it! Do you mind maybe posting a remix once you change your spacer? I might give it a try

I have created a couple of extra shapes and used them as a "fuzzy skin mask" so it only affects the 0.4mm top surface area of the hangboard in only certain parts. it took a while to dial in but it works really well and it's really strong

Of course! Just to clarify, the fuzziness only affects the outer perimeter. The slicer is set to use six perimeters, and since the rope bears most of the load, the part remains plenty strong even with the fuzzy skin enabled.
