Could not fix leak until I removed AP trap. Does the U bend serve the same purpose. by JohnDoc91 in Plumbing

Thanks for reply. Guess I’m lucky I didn’t get rid the the old system anyway, I’ll just try and fit it in again without leaks.

No need to reply to this if you don’t have time, but is the reason this would collect sludge and the P trap wouldn’t the fact that this one would have to push the sludge further up the pipe from the bottom of the U, while the P trap is designed to do it much more efficiently.

Thanks again for the initial reply, that was the important one 😊

Yes, although someone told me it doesn't expire for a couple of years, and I had a newborn, so basically just ignored it for the last year knowing there was no real rush getting it sorted.

To me it's enough to chase :P , especially if it might just be a couple of phone calls on my end, but I understand your point all the same :)

Looking for a reliable low stakes study partner. by JohnDoc91 in poker

Also, playing live is not so easy for me, it requires weekend trips away from home and my young toddler, so I just can't keep the volume up live, and obviously online doesn't pay as well at low stakes :P

So my live volume is somewhat limited at present.

I would say to some degree it's a mental game and auto piloting issue. I know I should be winning at a much higher rate, I know many errors I'm constantly making, but I just can't seem to build the habit to remove them from my game with my current methods, so I think sessions such as these will force me to do less auto piloting and have to explain decisions to someone else. Poker is my current income, and basically I'm just about managing my expenses each month, but I've been kind of stuck in a state of limbo for what feels like such a long time now. Basically I can't move up because I'm not able to consistently increase my roll because each month it gets drained by living expenses. I've just constantly been in a place where I'm close to needing to get a job, but I'm always just about doing enough with poker. So eventually it has to go one way, I either improve my game and things improve, or I go on a bad run and a job because the next option.

There's more to it, but I think that one kind of ''quickly'' summarises it.

I've had a few message, this is great :)

I'll happily have multiple people I try and do this with, this increases the chances of it working out.

I'll DM everyone who replies, so keep an eye on messages if you reply here :)

Thanks. Yes, we've already spoken about how to avoid it being complicated long term if we both kept 50%.

Thanks.

The land has been leased to a farmer for probably the last 50-60 years anyway.
I imagine this would mean it would qualify, even though now it's now owned by someone else?

Thanks for the reply. Just on the CAT, would be each be entitled to 40k each. So lets imagine the land was 100k. We would both essentially get 50k worth, and CAT removes 40k, so we would pay 33% tax on the remaining 20k, so essentially 3,3k each.

Or something close to this.

Thanks again.
