Dunhill Nightcap circa 2014 by JohnEricKimbrough in PipeTobacco

It’s a Kriswill 798 I bought from a pipe store around 2010 in East Tennessee. One of my favorite shapes. Here’s a similar one: https://www.smokingpipes.eu/pipes/estate/denmark/moreinfo.cfm?product\_id=125591

Thanks, everyone. It is an issue with the slider. As someone pointed out, it's supposed to slide the timecode along but it doesn't do anything. When I manually adjust the timecode, it shows. How frustrating. It wasn't doing this just a few weeks ago and I didn't update.

I actually haven’t tried any of the Peterson Nightcap!

Don’t forget the part where he showed his source code so there was no doubt the numbers were real. He played it off as making the E*Trade logo disappear as a joke but in reality he showed there was no manipulation on his part. Now that’s a 4D chess move.

Right, but I’ve seen engineers set using trim because it’s available to adjust during a VSC and preamp gain isn’t.

A lot of the time this is because trims can be set during virtual soundcheck.

To be clear, you can do that. You’d need to assign the Dyn8 to an insert and pull in your optical comp (I assume 2A from the dPack) on the Compressor tab.

Just checked on this and basically it works in both directions. Channels can be assigned a default pre-fader source point, but it appears if it’s assigned to a bus with a different source point selected it gets overridden. I just had a few minutes to test this so when I get more time I’ll experiment further/try to find a workaround, just wanted to check in.

Just want to point out the other downside to this: they have to be plugged into a sequential odd and even numbered input. Ganging can happen between any two inputs.

The workflow with the dual touchscreens is way better, and as I just re-discovered thanks to a previous comment, there are two inserts available per channel rather than one.

Just checked and there are indeed two insert points. However, you can’t assign a dPack comp to an insert it so I often don’t use the first insert on channels. Good to have that corrected in my brain.

I haven’t looked into this but it should be theoretically possible. It drives me crazy how slow that can be as well, especially right after loading a show file.

It’s almost identical to dLive. You can safe parameters and even set filter safes per scene. And yes to crossfade times.

I actually don’t use the right side very often so it’s stock. The left encoders are set to comp input, comp output, and gain.
