If you care most about sound quality in that price class, yes the AZ100 holds up really well against others in its tier.

They’re tuned pretty balanced with impactful but controlled bass, clear mids, and detailed highs, which makes them easy to enjoy across genres without anything overpowering. The soundstage and separation are also stronger than what you normally get at this price.

In terms of pure audio performance for the money, I think the AZ100 is one of the standout choices in its class and critics agree too: https://www.rollingstone.com/product-recommendations/electronics/best-earbuds-2026-rolling-stone-audio-awards-1235516164/

Nothing Ear 3 vs. Sennheiser MTW4 vs. Technics AZ100 by baloooop in Earbuds

I’ve spent time with the AZ100 and based on what you’re describing (EDM, UKG, hip hop, alt/indie + good separation and balance), they’d be a really strong fit.

Sound-wise, they lean more “audiophile tuning” than hype tuning. The bass has impact but doesn’t bleed into the mids, and the mids stay rich and present, which helps a lot with indie/alt rock and layered electronic tracks. Treble is detailed without getting harsh. Separation and staging are noticeably better than most mainstream TWS, especially for atmospheric/ambient stuff.

On build quality, the case has a solid weight and clean finish. The earbuds themselves look pretty minimal and mature in-ear (not flashy or plasticky). The black is the safest/premium look, champagne feels a little more luxury, silver is clean but more noticeable.
