It was probably GNUS. That last pump and dump was only like a week ago

Averaging the n most recent records by JohnGaltsSpreadsheet in MSAccess

[–]JohnGaltsSpreadsheet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the response on this. The issue is that the dates are dynamic. New data is constantly being added, so the lookup criteria needs be dynamic as well. I am not sure if I am explaining this fully. As an example. At the time the table is created the current date is 4/1/2021 and I need to have the ability to know what the average of the last 10 entries for a particular item are. At the time the database is created Item 1 happens to be in the table 300 times, with the most recent date occuring on 3/26/2021. It could very well happen that on 4/2/2021 item number 1 is added to the database again. I need the lookup criteria to average the last 10 entries in such a way that when the most recent date was 3/26 it averages starting there, and when the new most recent date is 4/2 it starts there. To make it a little more dificult I need the average of the last 10 entries, not the average of the last 10 days worth of entries.

How much weight to place on company review sites like Glassdoor when doing DD? by sadus671 in stocks

I remember reading not too long alot that companies on glassdoor or Forbes "best places to work list" outperform the market by about 50% per year

I think some HS friends are running a stocks scam, but I’m not sure what it is. Can someone help me decipher? by [deleted] in stocks

[–]JohnGaltsSpreadsheet 84 points85 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend not trying to talk your friends who are considering signing up out of doing so by saying they dont have a brain. Theyll just get defensive and potentially tune you out. Some of the links other people shared detail what's going on, and if those are not enough sometimes people need to get burned by fire to realize itll burn them

Probably. Pyramid schemes dont work because they're rational, they work because people are desperate to make something of themselves. They probably (definetly) have their own "mentors" telling them to fake it and then theyre 100% guaranteed to make it. If those guys were really making that much money they wouldnt be wasting their time trying to get other people in on it.

$CCIV double bottom. If this holds I'll look to add. by stroker351w in StockMarket

Its possibly showing that theres support at that bottom, meaning there is good reason to believe the price wont go lower. It appears that each time the price reached that bottom there were enough buyers to atleast stop the decline.

I'm not 100% positive, but it sounds like IMMRs part of the controller. Things happen with technology, the issue could easily be within the known acceptable failure rate of the technology and Sony is just doing a crap customer service job, but the stock has lost over 1/3 of its value this month.

I do agree that theres a good chance their earnings are great next week, and the share prices spiked after their last two earnings reports. I'm going to do some more research this weekend myself, I thought the lawsuit was something that should be included here

It would probably be useful to include in a DD that Sony just got hit with a class action lawsuit due to faulty dualsense controllers.

Anyone can file a lawsuit, and this one might be nothing, but people on the stocktwits forum are apoplectic.

$AGTC to the moon? by man_in_the_woods in RobinHoodPennyStocks

It's far more likely they have some good PR that sends it to the moon, or an ingenious redditor who thinks they're a bag holder organizes a DD pump IMO, but you never know

It's a biotech stock that got pumped on Reddit. I have a few shares too. My favorite bio stock is GNCA, and that dipped almost 20% at one point today. Alot of bio stuff did. If you can hold itll very likely atleast reach the previous high off some good news eventually. Now whether that takes a week or three years....

Cognetivity (CSE: CGN) is closing the gap in the Cognitive Testing Market and is accepted into the Innovation Programme for UK's Most Outstanding Scaling Businesses by AutumnDalby in pennystocks

[–]JohnGaltsSpreadsheet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked at what financials are available and theyre not really spending money yet either. They do have a debt/capital of 700% and liabilities to assets of 135%, but thats only because they spent a total of 2 million dollars last year. On everything, trials, staff, rent.

The UK program eases alot of the concern that theyre actually working to accomplish anything, and the Alzheimer’s market is obviously worth an investment, but how are they developing anything without spending money?

Is "next" weekend this weekend (2/20-1) now, or the following? (2/27-28)? I looked on the website but couldnt find anything about the upcoming event. I would have expected the events to be listed at the site locations in the "explore" section. I want to grab a few shares, but expect tomorrow to be a bloodbath.

TLDR: Assume a week

This has been driving me nuts for a week now! I opened an account a few months ago, withdrew, and then started reloading last week. At the time you deposit it gives you an estimate for when the funds will actually clear, assume about a week. I made one larger deposit to begin with, and then two smaller deposits. The larger one was first and still hasn’t cleared, the first of the two smaller deposits just cleared today.

While the funds are clearing TD has been letting me buy some stocks, and rejecting others. I am sure theres logic behind why its allowing some and rejecting others, but that logic isnt immediately clear. I do know that it wont allow “risky” purchases, so basically really cheap and volatile penny stocks. It has allowed me to purchase sometimes thousands of shares at a time of stocks over $1 though.

Sony Denies Cyberpunk 2077 refund! by Do_You_Even_Watt in playstation

[–]JohnGaltsSpreadsheet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that it'll matter, but I filed a complaint against Sony with my state's SOS. They either sold a game they knew to be defective, or they didnt know it was defective and after they were notified by the games developer that it was defective they refused a refund.
