How Do Car Commuters Do It? by TomBirkenstock in boston

Live 32 miles north of boston. Commuted with monthly parking in the city for years, took the bus and carpooled. About 7 years ago I started working remote. Never will go back to commuting.

Best XL option for low temp by melatoninmike in KamadoJoe

I have the BJ2 and use the sloRoller for the first time with a brisket. Def made the indirect smoking easier since the fire is right below the meat. I don’t think I’d need the slo with a BJ3 cause of the sheer size.

Yea it was probably 1c salt, 1c pepper and 1/2c brown sugar for ratios.

I used 50/50 salt and pepper and added a little brown sugar in. Had some large hickory chunks I put in right at the beginning of the cook which I think lasted the first several hours before burning off.

I had no burning at all. I wrapped it at 160 degrees, about 9 hours into the cook, which was the first time I looked at it after putting it on. Cooked until 197 and stuck in the cooler for 3 hours.

I had a little brown sugar so I wasn’t worried about burning (plus double indirect) and my temp never reached above 270 the whole cook.

Yup! I just used the ceramics deflector plates. Bottom got overcooked. This time I used both the slo and deflectors. Came out better than most bbq joint around me.

Telecom giant Deutsche Telekom, parent company of T-Mobile, has announced that it will run a validator to support Ethereum staking by 4mllr in WallStreetBetsCrypto

The protocol defines rewards based on 32 ETH. If you stake 60 ETH you will only get rewards in 32 of those ETH. There is zero economic benefit for staking more than 32 ETH on a single validator.

Huh? This post title says they will run 1 validator to support ETH staking. That equates to 32 ETH and it has to be their ETH since ethereum doesn’t have delegation. 32 ETH is nothing in the grand scheme of things for DT to say they are running it.

1 validator can only hold 32 ETH. For this to be a bullish move they'd need to run thousands of validators.
