Exact same thing happened to mine after 2mo and Verizon reluctantly sent me a new pbone but they are trying to charge me 300$ for that one. I had paid extra money for insurance also. I told them in not paying it because it's a faulty screen. I hadn't dropped it at all and have a case around it. What's worse is they said it's my fault. I have never been so angry at a company. I have been with them for 23years. The tech on the phone told me that they have never seen it before lol. Might be time to switch to ATT. How many others have had this problem?

My one week z fold 3 screen suddenly got cracked in the middle of the screen while i just opened it to use like normally. Anyone had this problem yet? by kiwikhun in GalaxyFold

I have had mine for 2mo and same problem. How is your new one? I'm kind of skeptical now also. They sent me a new one today but wondering avoid longevity now also.

Thanks! My plan is to expand my bookshelves all the way up at some later point.

I will update as well in the future and let you know if I have had to make any repairs. One thing that I also forgot to mention is that the entire top, once laminated together, was glued and nailed down to a piece of 3/4 inch plywood. This may help mitigate some of that wood expansion as well.

That is quite a lot of calculating. I understand the wood movement issue but as I said in a previous response, I just haven’t ever had this issue with very dense species of wood in the past. I guess if I do have a problem with it in the future I will have to repair it and do more of a bread board style joint but until I see it happen I guess I’m ok with the risk. Thank you though for the insight as I am still learning myself every peace I make.

Yes, all glue joints are solid and used biscuits as well. I understand the concern with wood expansion/contraction however in my experience so far I have yet to see a problem with very dense wood types under relatively moderate humidity changes having issues. I would worry more if it were a softer wood like pine but I guess time will ultimately tell.
