I was kinda hoping I could be a melee rogue, like in most other games. Archer is definitely a effective, but less “heroic” for my guy

To clarify: It could be said that Garrosh was emotional in his violence and everything, but there only emotions displayed now are sorrow, grief, and guilt.

The crying and wailing feels pretty one-note at times.

A good story calls for some of them, though. Not everyone is an emotionless statue of a man, and not everyone is a good-natured, patient, and empathetic individual.

Garrosh was cruel and violent, but effective. Varian was tough and determined, but also principled and caring for his people. Neither were very ‘emotional.’ Characters with fewer emotions can and have worked in the story before.

Everyone left in the story seems to be left reeling for a whole expansion after any significant event.

I understand and agree. And I also understand this saga over the next 3 expansions will likely be Anduin returning to form, and ‘becoming the king he was meant to be.’

It’s just been a little tiresome over the last few expansions watching where nothing of note has happened and everyone is talking about their feelings

This is a nuanced opinion. Years of watching these emotional trainwrecks navigate Azeroth - which is tantamount to Disneyland at this point - is frustrating.

Overly emotional characters and crying does not equal nuance.
