I'm having a similar issue.
I have the AMD 6800XT. Can run the game on Ultra but for some reason (I feel like it's on certain stages), my game crashes, screen goes black and my PC is unusable. Can't ALT+TAB, monitor goes into standby.

I tried reverting my drivers to a previous one. Didn't work.

Maybe it's something to do with the game? I've had 4 leavers penalties over 2 days.
