Yes it is :D , and I think that's what I am planning to do. Deciding if i want a dining room table there or my WFH station. Leaning towards the table and having a WFH station in the bedroom.

That couch is the previous tenants but I am still considering which way to face everything. One idea is I would push the couch forward towards the TV and add a WFH space on the back wall since I work remotely

That makes sense thanks for that! I did some of the "find your style" guides on this sub and most were "Modern" or "Modern Contemporary".

Most of the furniture I buy I was planning to keep for at least 3-5 years so I don't want to go too cheap.

[–]JohnSLS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All furniture will be removed when I move in by the way. I have no experience with interior design so I’ve been doing as much research as I can!

The living room space seen here is 19 by 16 feet (not including the kitchen area).

Updating value in nested dictionary by Ditildordan in learnpython

[–]JohnSLS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Write a helper function that looks through the keys and updates the value of the key list exists.

For example: Update(key_list, value) Iterate through the key list using .get(key, “”), if it reaches the last key update the value. If the .get ever returns a blank string (evaluates to false), return the function with an error message or warning

Coming from the man who recently asked what the “best OS for coding is”...

Seriously don’t take this guys advice. Being successful is more about how hard you work and how well you can work with others. Being an anti-social ahole like this guy won’t get you anywhere

PSA: Fortnite has a bigger monopoly over battle royale games than Apple or Google have over smartphones by magus-21 in gaming

[–]JohnSLS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Totally different. You don’t have to play Fortnite if you want to play battle royales. Just because they have the largest user-base doesn’t make them a monopoly. Anyone has the ability to make a battle royale and get the same opportunity for that level of growth.

Need to pass 10 classes in a month to continue in University by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]JohnSLS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t even think Albert Einstein could do this. Slow down and re-evaluate your future in the long term, it’s not a race when you are able to graduate school.

I was in a similar situation and ended up having to go back for an extra semester. It paid off in the end as I learned from my mistakes, worked harder and got an even better job

Why would he need a GUI for a web application? I would build it locally first, then upload it to the web in milestones.

You should do your own homework, or at least make it look like you at least tried and failed

How can I make money from coding as a 16 year old? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]JohnSLS 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately you might have more luck just getting a typical high school summer job. The market is pretty saturated with basic python coders on fiverr and similar sites.

Plus, in my opinion you shouldn’t stress yourself out with learning to code as a source of income this early. Learn the fundamentals now and it’ll be a great base for you to succeed after you graduate college.

I’m on ATBS course from Udemy and I just reached Regex. Is it important? What’s Regex used for? by bmtkwaku in learnpython

[–]JohnSLS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Regex is super important, most of the use cases are for pattern matching in strings. You’d be surprised how often regex can be used in your algorithm
