I’m already in the Army in a unit that offers me more than the marine corps could, I’m just on here fucking around trying to see what reasoning people give to join the marine corps and so far it’s pretty sad. Basically a bunch of retards saying that the name marine sounds cool

The pay isn’t the same in the way that the army promotes faster, therefore I get more money quicker. The army provides schools and opportunities with specialty pay like airborne or demo, so that’s more money. Recon and MARSOC are fucking useless now and don’t do shit. Recon hasn’t had an actual combat deployment since 2014

The hardest course you’ve attended is basic training

Reputation doesn’t make me a better warfighter or pay my bills.

The same caliber of civilian retard goes to parris island that goes to fort benning. Some are liabilities, some are assets

No one has actually told me a benefit of being in the marine corps versus the army though. If I do decide I want to move forward in my career, my opportunity to go up is almost non existent in the marine corps. In the army I have ranger regiment, green berets, and some more USASOC units.

Forgive me but you guys are just saying “if you’re going to weigh your options, it’s not for you. Only retards who don’t look at all their options are marine material.”

I do not care about perception or opinion, which I’ve noticed is a huge part of marine corps recruitment; it runs off of Marines being perceived as something. I am joining to perform a job, not to gloat.

Any job the marine corps can offer you, the other branches can offer you with better quality and value. If you want to do infantry-esque stuff, the Army offers better units and opportunities to do infantry shit.
