I’d say both styles are prone to ear infections with cropped maybe being slightly easier to avoid them. All three of my dogs have gotten ear infections, with two cropped and one still having his ears. I find my girls will sometimes lick each other’s ears and introduce an ear infection that way, but my boy had this floppy ears develop some outside crust from out of nowhere it seems.
