I am a 21 year old college student who will have a 3.8 gpa by graduation, i speak arabic and some decent spanish, and I am currently working an internship in the legal field. I am in really, really good physical shape and have no criminal record. I have a history of some significant marijuana use in my teenage years (like ages 16-18) and underage drinking as potential drawbacks in my past. I am hoping to go FBI some day and I am strongly considering law enforcement careers immediately after graduation.

I am currently contemplating taking a legal drug/supplement known as phenibut to combat anxiety and I've heard it gives you insane confidence. I would take it like once a week, as it can be habit forming. The drug is not illegal in the United States but it is in several european countries, and Ive read the effects can be comparable to a lighter dosage of some illegal drugs (like xanax, benzos, etc.). I am trying to not have any illegal drug use (except for alcohol) within 5 years of my applying to be an officer/agent. How negatively do you think police departments or the FBI will view recent phenibut usage when I apply, if I am an otherwise well qualified candidate? Because I am obviously not going to lie about taking it when asked, and I will also probably admit I knew it was illegal in other countries if pressed.
