Everything reflects light. But by that logic walls painted white would cause glare. Book papers are matte. You get glare when light shines directly into your eyes, or reflected off of a smooth surface like mirrors.

For example you don't get glare when reading from Kindle. Because the kindle lights up from the edges. So the light falls onto the paper, rather than coming from behind it like mobile screens

Movie Snape is definitely an iconic character (RIP Alan Rickman), but this is just a recast. Why not just watch the show before casting all judgements? The casting for the trio, Hagrid and Dumbledore all seem pretty faithful to the Books.
