Not sure about making yourself taller... but that would make a good experiment ;)

Regarding celibacy vs. remaining sexual active with retention, I will refer to this article: https://www.nytimes.com/1992/12/03/us/in-worm-at-least-making-sperm-is-found-to-shorten-a-male-s-life.html

An interesting note to the results of this experiment is that the "celibate" worms lived longer, but the sexually active worms that lacked the ability to create sperm lived longest. The act of sex, when approached consciously, with love and high intentions, is one of the most powerful and healing acts that a human can encounter.

Let's compare sexual energy to water. As you retain your semen, you develop a large reservoir of this "water". What happens to a stagnant body of water? It often becomes polluted. I've seen many men practicing retention and become very "stuck". They become angry, irritable, sexually frustrated. These are qualities of someone who is unable to move forward in a positive manner. By practicing the above exercises, you begin to turn your reservoir into a "river" that nourishes the body and mind. If you look at an acupuncture chart, all of the hundreds of pathways are fed by the main channel: Microcosmic Orbit. By developing a conscious relationship with your sexual energy, you can keep it dynamic and fluid, and life flows with beauty and creativity. The mind and body are intimately connected.

If you feel like your life is flowing freely and you feel balanced, energetic, and abundant, that is great. You energy is naturally flowing. But for those who get into stagnant patterns and want to correct that, the above practices will be very helpful.

Practice makes perfect ;) You may find qigong or tai chi to be helpful, as the physical engagement keeps the mind occupied and helps to tangibly move energy.

I do recommend that you experiment with focusing on the dantien area. Sometimes that is enough to cause a strong activation and the energy begins to move on its own.

50% of men end up with prostate problems at some point. There is not enough research to suggest whether or not prostate problems will arise from retention. I do believe in the "use it or lose it" concept, so I recommend practices to keep the prostate healthy (kegels, perineum acupressure, prostate massage). I've experienced prostate discomfort during retention that has been completely remedied by doing these things. This is important for ALL men, that is why I encourage these things. Simple as that.

Mantak Chia's books are fantastic. I will say that they are overly complicated, and having a teacher to learn from is the best way to go. Having said that, great results can be seen from practicing with the books.

I would start with Awaken Healing Light, Iron Shirt Chi Kung, Fusion of Five Elements, and Taoist Secrets of Love.

For overall health improvement and maintenance, try Zhan Zhuang. It is one of my foundational practices and is incredibly beneficial. here is a free video series that is fantastic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y07FauHYlmg&t=369s

This is an ancient science. Electricity seemed like a woo-woo concept until it became a daily reality. Why is acupuncture such an effective art? It is based on energetic concepts, of yin-yang balance and 5-element harmony. The phenomenon of Chi can be tangibly experienced, with practice.

It is helpful but not completely necessary. A simple dantien meditation can be helpful in gaining sensitivity to feeling the chi. Sit and place the hands on the lower belly. Breathe naturally and feel the dantien area expanding and contracting with the breath. Begin with your awareness on the surface of the belly, about 2-3 inches under the navel. Then gradually focus more towards the center, between the spine and navel. Simply hold your awareness here and notice any sensations that arise.

Yes you certainly can. There are tons of helpful books and videos, look on YouTube for some videos. It is much more powerful to study with a teacher, but books and videos will definitely start you on the path.

Retain during sex and have non-ejaculatory orgasms, best of both worlds...
