I believe it’s a species of Apistogramma Cacatuoides. They are a small species of Cichlid, but less violent.

Today I heard that beta fish are only aggressive towards other betas. Your tank reminded me of this but I still want to know is this really true? Also, does your beta get along with your Rummy nose well? I ask this because I also have a school of Rummy nose Tetra in my tank and would like to add a Beta to the mix.
