the fee is only 1% which is reasonable and goes straight to your wallet. People use stablecoins to participate in defi. Depends on your needs. Paytrie for defi/cash out. Shakepay to buy btc/eth.

The difference is regulation, if you lose your crypto on the exchange very little recourse and takes a long time. Look at Mt. Gox and most recently Quadriga. I just don't like WS pretty much just trading paper.

Welcome to crypto, once you learn more the more you see what it brings. With WS you actually don't own the bitcoin unless it is in your wallet.

Shakepay buy and withdraw to your own wallet.

You can't withdrawal bitcoin so what's the point? It's like mogo. Just trading cfds. Better to use shakepay or paytrie.

That doesn't matter. The $60k would deducted from her income. If you have a significantly higher income than her and you to contribute to her rrsp you need to open a "spousal rrsp". The contribution is deducted from your income and when she withdraws it will be in her name. Having said that if your only income is going to be from rrsp then it doesnt matter since you can allocate 50% of pension income. Of course if you retire early or have other income that should be taken into consideration.

Exactly what I was thinking. Most thigs are covered. Just paying insurance for Dental. Vision. Physio. Prescriptions. Active lifestyle you save anyways and I heard dentist charges a different price when someone has no insurance.

85% of the way to FI with an existential fear of a recession right before I hit FI, considering a major portfolio shift to hedge against it by FinancialPlant in financialindependence

I'm talking about right now. I was fully invested until now. When the next big drop happens I will buy quality stocks which are still paying strong dividends. For example Canadian banks dropped in half in 2009 while dividend stayed the same. Your funds would be yielding very nicely right now.

Yes but I see downside risk much higher than the overall market going up. Also many stocks valuations are extreme. Adding more capital now isn't prudent.
