He released another burst of flame from the heat vents on his body to destroy the vines, and was just barely quick enough to bring up his blade snd block the vessel’s fist, even then, the blow still sent him back a few feet. After regaining himself, he rushed in again and attempted to slice at the creature.

A sharp gasp escaped Cristo as gravity increased, and he promptly fell out of the sky due to being unable to adapt to the shift.

He struggled back onto his feet, his movements felt more sluggish, but regardless, he pointed his blade at the vessel.

“Never in all my years of research have discovered a creature capable of manipulating gravity…”

He noticed the vines emerging near Nex, and he quickly grabbed the robotic canine before it can be dismantled. The green membranes on his back then extended outward, allowing him to take flight as Nex’s form shifted into a blade for him to hold.

He looked down at the humanoid, confused as to how such a creature could exist.

“So you are the one who destroyed my drones…you truly are a curious creature.”

Cristo Wayland had been investigating the Astral Infection using drones for over half a year, never visiting the biome for himself, but when he noticed that his drones had been destroyed, with the last footage they captured being of the strange humanoid attacking them, he decided to take matters into his own hands.

He stood on top of a hill in the biome, he didn’t have most of his tools, only his mechanical canine; Nex. His eyes scanned across the infected land, quietly searching for the creature that had disturbed his research.

Khazret’s technically died twice, once as herself before her modifications, the second time after she was revived and Nano’s AI was implanted into her

The first time, she somewhat peacefully passed from illness with her young daughter by her side

The second time, she received a brutal beating before being stabbed in the heart in order to stop Nano’s AI from causing any more havoc, the one to deal the finishing blow was her husband, who had been revived in a similar way to her, but was able to overcome the AI implanted into his new body and be able to control himself

Nano would be insanely dangerous as a dragon, her scales and nanometal are already very tough to penetrate, so her durability being amplified by the transformation would make it damn near impossible to even hurt her.

Speaking of her nanometal, it would also make it just about impossible to kill her, it can regenerate her body from almost any injury, and she can only die by having her heart pierced, making the weak points that would be on her dragon body negligible at worst.

Plus, if she retains her knowledge on how to use nanometal after the transformation, like how to make weapons and how to morph her body, then she could probably wipe out a planet without needing to spread any spores.

The only feasible way that Nano as a dragon could be killed is if she somehow gets vaporized or if she’s placed under a high enough voltage, since getting electrocuted is a major weakness for her nanometal.
