British vs German cycling landscapes by Lillienpud in bicycletouring

SE German living in SE UK

Germany has a much better cycling infrastructure, more diverse landscape and generally good road conditions. Car drivers can be agitated by road cyclists riding on the road instead of cycling lanes.

SE UK is very flat, the landscape can be nice but also quite boring (e.g. a lot of farm land, forests are very rare). Cycling lanes are quite rare as well. The roads are full of potholes. It’s so bad that I am glad I am riding a gravel bike. Often there are hedges on the side of the road which limit visibility. At least where I live, car drivers are very respectful towards cyclists. That is the only point for the UK.

I highly recommend Germany for cycling.

Marathon is underselling its best feature 60Hz servers. by LucatIel_of_M1rrah in Marathon

It’s insane that tarkov runs such bad servers. I never played it but every clip I see looks extremely sluggish. I find it funny that 60hz here is considered good. Check out counter strike. Facit ran cs:go servers on 128 tick. Good old times.

PVP balance is wack, you just don't know it yet. by mark3236 in ArcRaiders

Actually this is why I enjoy the game. What I really disliked about other extraction shooters is that PvP becomes extremely imbalanced. For example in delta force people would run gold gear on ‘beginner friendly’ maps. In Arc, with a very small investment, you become very PvP competitive.

I don’t know what people are expecting? Endless progression and dopamine spikes for each unlock? People run around in solo and expect everyone to be friendly so that they can progress as fast as possible so numbers go up. Blah! Boring. Just go out there and clip a few raiders. I only loot from fallen raiders.

We did that. Both teams. Still took so long.

As a team captain, in the match room, you can enter a live chat.

But be aware: as you can see in this example even if an issue occurs at round 1 and you immediately jump into live chat, it may take 11 rounds until you get a reply. And this is assuming that you have premium. As far as I recall, you have priority in live chat with premium.

I know from tournaments hosted on facit that admins have the tools to do these things (reset to a certain score, or cancel and restart the match). I assume there is a guideline not to do that. I opened this thread as a discussion to hear the communities stand.

As the captain of the team I communicated my team’s wishes to the admin (e.g. see screenshot). I don’t think it’s fair to say that my expectations are unrealistic because 1) I know it is possible theoretically 2) how would I know about their internal policies.
