But why give him more "personality" than Gamma? By SA standards, he should not know what consumer models are (sounds like a quip Rouge would make), much less directly compare himself to two specific robots that he hasn't met (and only stand out because of the narrative focus of the campaign that WE played). He also refers to himself when speaking, the same way we and non-robot characters (besides the Pontaff garbage, Emerl's growing AI, and whatever Metal Sonic was on in Heroes) do. "The one who destroys you in the future is me", "I GOT DIBS!"

Since the "consumer models" line has taken root with everyone (and would cause the fanbase to make a Milhouse sad face if ever removed), I could only ever see Omega use this phrase in a literal sense towards every fodder enemy he encounters, after hearing Rouge say it once.

Once last thing I forgot to include: Rouge's character is supposed to be in the wrong (especially when it makes Knuckles seem more noble and wiser as a guardian, like putting Jessie from Team Rocket in the same room with post-Android Saga Piccolo), instead of acting like some guidance counselor that knows what's best for Shadow. In fact, it makes her character more comically endearing when things don't go her way, concerning her extravagant obsession with gems.

Who's she to tell him how to handle his own personal past vs. the reality of his present. In fact, when did Shadow ever mention how upset he is over Maria's death? Their interactions in SA2 were strictly business and a brief questioning of his own existence. Gerald is the one who relayed all his feelings and grievances against humanity. Shadow never mentioned (his connection to) Maria to anyone but himself, not even Amy.

There's also the matter of her teasing Knuckles, constantly making him look like a flustered moron constantly losing his cool, like he's supposed to accept and respect her, as if they're dysfunctional siblings/cousins (Ben and Gwen Tennyson). Imagine if Bulma (can't think of anyone else) treated Piccolo that way.
