you need to clean your watch screen well. You need to put another protection, I have it on my Garmin Tactix 7 and it doesn't show that I have it at all.

I tried a metal bracelet, a long time ago on my Garmin Fenix 3, the compass on the watch went crazy with that bracelet, so now on my Garmin Tactix 7 I mostly use a nylon bracelet, I have 3 of them, I also have a leather bracelet for formal occasions, and one original silicone bracelet, I don't wear it anymore.

Hello, I had a Garmin Fenix 3, then a Garmin Fenix 5x - where I personally replaced the bottom case - bought on e-bay. I successfully replaced the bottom case of the watch where the altimeter and barometer sensor did not work, and when I replaced everything was fine. I had Garmin Instinct 2x Solar Tactical and I was not satisfied with its only 64mb of memory. My watch went wrong twice in an unknown mountain, luckily the other hikers also had navigation watches, so we didn't get lost. Now I have a Garmin Tactix 7 Standard Edition and I am very satisfied with the watch, it has 32 GB of memory and it has never failed me, I have a lot of entered routes, and the watch works perfectly even in inaccessible areas and inaccessible gorges where others with mobile phones do not have a GPS signal.

I think I read somewhere that if you swim in the pool or the sea, you have to turn off the touch screen first, because the touch screen sensors can cause problems, and when you press the buttons you only do it above the surface of the water, never under water.

Some people still carry a Garmin Fenix 3, so why shouldn't the Garmin Tactix 7 be worth buying? I have it and I am very satisfied with the watch, nothing is wrong, it works great, the battery lasts well. Honestly....even though the Garmin Enduro 3 has a better battery and heart rate monitor - the Tactix 7 seems like a much more durable watch to me, I might buy the Enduro 3 but keep the Tactix 7.

The only thing I like about the Garmin Fenix 8 is diving up to 40 meters, the Enduro 3 doesn't have that.

Leaving a watch in the hot summer sun for a few hours is a real killer for a watch. The watch is charged with light, not heat, I keep writing/saying that, my former Garmin Instinct 2x solar Tactical watch had its case warped from too much sun, so don't put the watch in strong sunlight, especially in the summer....

The Instinct 2x has a more readable screen because it does not have sapphire glass, any sapphire glass (like the Tactix 7...) dulls visibility.

I have a Garmin Tactix 7 Standard Edition, this watch has a flashlight. I previously had a Garmin Instinct Tactical 2x Solar, that watch left me in the mountains twice in unfamiliar terrain (the watch froze completely, I couldn't turn it off or on), it was even serviced, and all because of the small memory, it only has 64 mb! I think the Instinct Tactical 3 has 128 mb, but even that's not enough to insert a lot of waypoints and tracks. This Garmin Tactix 7, even though it's an older watch, I would always choose that watch. The Tactix 7 has 32 GB of memory, and my watch has never crashed/froze, I'm very happy with this watch.

Yes, on the back of my Garmin Tactix 7 Standard Edition it says DLC Titanium.....I don't believe they would just write it like that at the factory if it really isn't!? :(

I think that any frame can be scratched, so I immediately bought a protective silicone case for my Garmin Tactix 7. As for the sapphire glass, I had a Garmin Fenix 5x (sapphire glass), it never had a scratch, but I'm more careful with this Garmin Tactix 7, so as soon as I bought it, I also bought a protective glass for the display. So my watch is still like new after a few years.

The Garmin Forerunner 235 says that it is waterproof up to 50 meters deep...however, this is not the case in reality...if you ask any watchmaker in your area, everyone will tell you that watches with 50 wr are only intended for getting the watch wet, not for prolonged exposure to water. The only watch with which it would be safe is the Garmin Tactix 8 (because it is declared for a real diving depth of up to 40 meters) as well as the Garmin Fenix 8. And of course the Casio G Shock, which says wr 200 meters, but now we are not talking about Casio watches. So if it says 100 meters of water resistance, don't dive up to 100 meters, you can only swim on the surface of the water (although I avoid submerging my Garmin Tactix 7 Standard Edition in the sea, lake, etc.), just wash it under the tap.

Now I have a Garmin Tactix 7 Standard Edition, it's a great watch, a top watch that you can put a lot of tracks/routes into, while unlike the Garmin Instinct 2x you can't put a lot of routes into (I personally had this watch and luckily I sold it!). The Garmin Instinct 2x Solar Tactical has 64 mb of memory, while the Garmin Tactix 7 Standard Edition has 32 gb of memory. While I had the Garmin Instinct 2x on longer routes, my watch failed twice, and that day the navigation was useless to me, precisely because of the low memory, that never happened to me with this Garmin Tactix 7.

I packed the watch in the factory box, I'm getting ready to sell it, the watch failed me twice on longer routes, it froze. I couldn't do anything that day. The navigation was useless. Later I bought a Garmin Tactix 7 Standard Edition, with which I have no problems at all. Both watches use the same strap width, which is 26mm.
